  2. Recently I have seen a few posts regarding the state of PvP and ideas people have for making changes or improvements. I wanted to compile below some of the points made as well as a few thoughts of my own. PvP Rewards - I think the current reward system of chests has been a great bonus to the game. I saw a point made about enhancing the rewards for top 1, 10, 25 to encourage people to play more in lieu of just achieving a rating and sitting there to collect chests. I think this is a good idea and would increase activity / make it more competitive. - There was a point made about increasing rewards to the top 50, following the same pattern current top 25 follows. I think the drop off could be more drastic. Top 25 can still be considered the ladder, but a small reward for top 50 could be beneficial. Similar to random ladder rewards maybe everyone from 26-50 could receive a base prize of 100 tokens. This should make it more active. Additionally, extending the rewards to 50 will decrease alt account use ever so slightly. If all of a sudden the ceiling for alt account rating would drop 100 points, alt accounts will play less games. - I really love the addition of the gold chests. I think they can also be used to incentivize players who aren’t in ladder or close to it. Currently we get a blue chest for our first win and then every other thereafter. I wouldn’t mind a change that upon receiving every 4th or 5th win of the day (for example) you are rewarded with an enhanced chest. I think this again would incentivize people to play more and increase the queue population. Minimum/Maximum Rating - the feature to set a minimum rating opponent is great. Being high rating and risking 26 points at the possibility of only gaining 3 in exchange isn’t worth it, so this feature being in the game works very well. Likewise, I think this system can work in reverse. A lot of players new to PvP have no idea what they are doing. Which is fine, all of us were there at some point. Often having to queue multiples games trying to get their daily chest can be a drag. I wouldn’t mind a system that allowed you to set a maximum rating opponent, that then got disabled once you reach a certain rating. As an example, if you are below 100 rating, then the setting could be done so that you cannot encounter anyone above 100 rating. I think this would go a long way to helping newer players have fun and incentivizing them to learn and improve. Alt Accounts - Bottom line is we all do it. I have one I play on occasionally and so does every other regular pvp’er. It’s a great way to test new things or queue without risking rating on your main. But they aren’t good for the health of the game. As I understand it, upon server merge with the new central account implementation, it will have a universal rating. This is a feature I’m looking forward to and I think will very much improve game health. Rating Decay - A point made about rating decay possibly being a good addition to prevent people from climbing early and sitting. I personally think that for a good portion of players they just wouldn’t play until the last few days. I don’t like this implementation. Instead of punishments I think there are options to incentivize people play actively. Top 25 Discord Chat. - as I understand it this chat is no longer regulated or changed season over season. I think it can go away. In exchange I think a community PvP chat could be added, in which people are given a role based on certain requirements met. As an example, if you achieve a final rating of 400+ 5 times, you could be given a role to access that chat and participate in the conversations about PvP and what can be done to help improve the health of it. PvP Sniping - I don’t think this is quite as hot button of an issue as some people make it. But it can be problem and it does happen. The avoid last opponent feature is great. I wouldn’t mind a feature or queue cycle that prioritizes matching you against people you haven’t played within the past 3 games, and only does as a last resort if both people have been in queue for over 5-10 minutes. UU PvP - I’ve seen this brought up a couple times and I think it would be a good fun implementation to the game. Likewise, I don’t think the game is currently active enough to sustain it. As I understand it future client updates intend to contain a team builder feature. I think the UU implementation could work great if we can queue UU along with either regular while having different teams selected for each. Anyways we have seen a lot of positive improvements to PvP lately between added mons and moves, new metas, and rewards. All my listed points are just ideas / recently mentioned topics and how I think they can continue to positively improve the PvP aspect of the game. And to anyone reading, any example given is just that, an example. Additionally, I didn’t mention more new pokes, moves, items etc. because I think that’s a separate topic and things that are coming at some point anyways.

  6. I know this information, but what are the statuses of Sivally, for example? I wouldn't have to memorize the stats and abilities of all the Pokémon, as it's not possible to get the data from the Pokedex. Another point is, we don't have a tutorial on how to play. We leave the players to fend for themselves. Doesn't it make sense to have a YouTuber on the staff? pvprecorder, for example?
