Game Testers.

What are Game Testers?

Game Testers are expert users who work alongside Developers, Content Scripters and Mappers and provide useful feedback as well as report any errors and bugs. We use a separate testing server where users are given a new character with access to anything that may aid in testing.

Why do we need them?

Our staff team is in need of Game Testers to test new and upcoming implementations to PRO. For a while now, we have been rewarding users who help us test various important updates before they're released. In order to bring better content to PRO, we are making the Game Tester an official rank in the staff team. This will streamline communication between content staff and testers to allow better and faster testing.

How are they chosen?

Game Testers have to go through an apprenticeship where they will be watched to see how efficiently they work as well as how well their communication and activity is. Game Testers will be given a new account that has access to various staff commands to aid their testing. Game Testers will be officially recognised as PRO Staff members once their apprenticeship is passed.

Requirements:

All requirements are mandatory. You wont be considered if you do not meet the base requirements

• At least 500 hours of playtime.
• Be able to clearly communicate in English.
• Sinnoh champion.
• 18+ years old.
• Able to dedicate your time and deliver efficiently.

What we're looking for:

• Strong communication.
• High patience levels.
• Reliability.
• Able to persistently repeat the same work.
• Can commit a fair amount of time to testing duties.

Random Set Creator

• As the name suggests, this involves staff who will manage random sets. The main tasks are creating new sets, editing old ones, and actively addressing player feedback.

PvP Councilor

• This role involves monitoring the current meta, gathering feedback, and proposing necessary changes. The main focus is on bans and unbans in normal ranked. These decisions need to be explained and presented first to the staff before any changes are made, and later to the players once the decision has been finalized.

PvP Event Organizer

• This role regularly organizes and runs PvP events, such as monotype tournaments. Responsibilities include developing event concepts with rules and potential rewards, which need approval from admins. Once approved, you’ll manage the event execution, including the tournament bracket, deadlines, and coin flips if necessary. Additional tasks may arise depending on the event.

What is the Spawn Editor role?

Spawn Editor is the role responsible for deciding which Pokemon can spawn/be encountered in the game maps.

Overall, the spawn editors plays a critical role in the game and must ensure that spawns are adequately balanced in order to maintain a good challenge for players without making Pokemon lose appeal and value in the game.

What is the Mapper team and what are their responsibilities?
Mappers is the Staff Team in charge of creating new maps for story, quests, event, dungeons, and everything in between, in collaboration with the other Content Teams.

At the same time, Mappers are in charge of fixing map problems and improving current maps based on community feedback.

What is the role of a Moderation Staff member?

PRO's Moderation Team is a group of staff who provide support for players and ensure that PRO is kept in order. The Moderation Team make sure that users follow PRO's Rules and support players on the forum and in-game.

Moderator [RECRUITMENT IS OPEN]

A Moderator's primary focus is in PvP, and Chat violations. They maintain order in-game and make sure that users are following the rules. Moderators handle Reports, Appeals, and the PvP subforums. A good candidate for Moderator is someone who's an experienced member of PRO and has good knowledge in the PvP and Chat rules. Moderator is the most recruited role in PRO, it's important that Moderators would be able to put aside at least one hour per day for their duties.

Trade Moderator [RECRUITMENT IS OPEN]

TMods are supposed to do three main activities: dealing with reports in the Report Center, making sure the Trade subforums are all in order and that every topic is following the Trade Rules, and moderating chat channels in-game. TMods are the principal forces responsible for watching over Trade Chat in-game, but they also moderate everywhere there could be an infraction. TMods will step in if a player needs help with a general, non-role-specific issue that any staff member could address effectively.

A good candidate for a Trade Moderator is someone who's an experienced member of PRO and has good knowledge in the Trade, PvP and Chat rules.

Tangibles:

• You must have been around the project for at least 3 months (mention your earliest-registered account name in the application for us to verify).
• 100-plus hours clocked on an account in-game.
• You already completed a variety of quests in PRO.
• A clean track record on your account (note: it does not need to be completely pristine; even if you have had milder offenses, they may be overlooked depending on how long ago they were, how your behavior has changed since, and the its severity relative to the nature of the position).
• Have a Discord Account as it will be the main way for staff to communicate.
• Be 18 years of age or older.

Intangibles:

• At least basic knowledge of the programming language Python.
• Fluency in the English language. In addition to writing the logic-coding of NPC scripts, you will also be responsible for the dialogues of NPCs by virtue of your access to and control over the scripts - proper grammar, spelling, and syntax is expected in that regard.
• Characteristical integrity. Due to our content-sensitive access to NPC scripts and control thereof, this is one of the most trust-sensitive positions in the game; as such, there will be no shortage of scrutiny with our candidates.
• Willingness to learn new things.

What ìs the role of an Artist?

Pokemon Revolution Online Artists are in charge of the graphic aspect of the game. This is done through the use of pixel-art to create to things like outfits, mounts, special event Pokémon forms, environment tiles, etc.

Requirements

• At least 30 days since Account Creation. 
• 18 years or older
• Be able to speak English at an understandable level. (Mandatory)
• Understanding Pixelart/ Digital art at a decent level. 
• Portfolio containing Pixel Art / Digital art work.  

What if I've never done pixelart before or don't have any pixel art in my Portfolio?

I can't properly distinguish your level without any sort of work to measure by. Which makes it harder for me to figure out what kind of training you may need to be viably recruited. I'll gladly train up people of any skill level. My general lookout point is for people who are dedicated and willing to learn.

Do not apply to this position with content that isn't your own. It will be discovered. And may affect your possibility of admission to staff in the future.

What is the role of a Moderation Staff member and of a Community Coordinator?

PRO's Moderation Team is a group of staff who provide support for players and ensure that PRO is kept in order. The Moderation Team make sure that users follow PRO's Rules and support players on the forum and in-game.

Community Coordinators in specific make sure that PRO's playerbase is pointed in the right direction both in-game and on the forum. CCs mostly work as a support role however they are also given the responsibility of moderating the forums and in-game chats. A CC would mostly focus on the Resolution Center subforum and the in-game Help Chat. Community Coordinators also help to support our Discord Server and are the main responsible to maintain the guides and the information available to players updated. Good candidates for Community Coordinators are player with excellent knowledge of the game and Pokemon.
