  2. Oh boy, sk8tr. Aren't you an old player from back in the 2016-2017 era? Half the stuff I read in this thread is utter bs and just plain false. Take it from the person who did most of the changes in summer 2017 and in 2018 onwards till like 2020.

  6. Disclamer: i wrote this post about 3 months ago and posted it in the pro pvp council discord chat , so from my perspective here i'm speaking before the introduction of wave 3 ,and it was copied straight from discord, so some wording might be off , i'm a bit lazy to just go through it and change it. Since council chat is lively , only a few people managed to read this post and it was just lost in chat and that's the reason why im reposting this here. Hi, today i would like to make a rant about the upcoming mega sabeleye in wave 3 , and that it deserves some looking into. Experienced players know how strong of a defensive presence mega sableye is . It walls everything that is not a dedicated wall breaker and that does not rely on setup , and ones that do rely on setup are walled by its partners ( unaware clefable and skarmory since its basically played only on stall anyways) . Mega sableye will never get 2 hkoed unless its facing something like a nuke mon that does not fear getting burned ( like darmanitan) , but thoes can be easily worn down or walled by its partners. In gen 7 , mega sableye was not a huge problem due to the plethora of fairy types ruling the tier (the tapus) that can easily check it ( tapu fini with misty terrain and moonblast , and tapu lele with its nuking stabs, with both of them having access to taunt to cripple whatever sableye is switching out into) ,and also due to the various powerhouses like kartana that hit extremely hard , not to mention z moves that make it possible to break through it . Even though pro is using gen 7 mechanics and moves, its much much closer to gen 6 so far because the meta defining pokemon of gen 7 are not available yet in pro. I will now bring up the biggest 3 points i can think of as to why mega sableye will be a problem 1- Mega sableye has tremendous bulk and will almost never be 2hkoed by non super effective moves: This means that mega sableye can shrug off hits from these mons and retaliate with nasty status , a knock off that will really annoy whatever is switching into it , any other attack , or even get the opportunity to set up with calm mind even though that's kind of rare to see. It can basically stay as long on the field as it wants because the list of pokemon able to break it is not that long , and the ones that can switch into it safely can be easily handled by its partners , which brings me to my next point. 2- The Lack of viable fairies in the meta : Like previously mentioned , mega sableye is very hard to ohko by a non super effective move , and since it's only weak to fairy we do not have many options. So what fairies that are viable in the meta can handle it? -Magic guard Clefable : can easily switch into anything mega sableye does , but does not appreciate getting knocked off. But also cannot exactly do anything once it's in due to the combination of its partner chansey and unaware clefable ( which are and should be on every decent stall team). -Unaware Clefable (Mg and unaware clefable do very different jobs so i'm seperating them): Can switch into mega sableye but does not appreciate getting burned or knocked off , and is heavily crippled by the occasional toxic. It could carry heal bell, but heal bell has only 8 pp compared to the huge pp numbers of toxic and will-o-wisp. Best thing it can do is wish into one of its partners as mega sableye switches out but the cycle will just repeat itself and mega sableye will have better longetivity overall. -Azumarill: Can almost never switch in safely in fear of a will-o-wisp , also does not apppreciate knock off(yeah im repeating this alot) , does not appreciate chip from it's attacks. The banded set is walled by skarmory , and the belly drum set is walled by unaware clefable and the opponent can easily figure out the set since sableye justt loves to spam knock off. -Mega altaria: Can easily take a hit from mega sableye , and doesnt mind getting burned that much if it's carrying heal bell or refresh. But can't exactly do much once it switches in , dragon dance sets are absolutely walled by unaware clefable and are hazard fodder for the sableye's skarmory partner , and bulky support variants also cannot do anything to clefable. -Togekiss: yeah no. -Alolan ninetales: well it's a fairy and it's kinda meta so i had to bring it up but it can't do anything to mega salbeye. -Mega gardevoir: while walled by chansey, it can carry an encore or a taunt to annoy it but it loses in the long run. - The incoming mega mawile: while mawile can ohko every variant of mega sableye with play rough, it can never switch into it safely in fear of a will-o-wisp, it also doesnt appreciate the chip from shadow ball. It can also never be brought it safely through volt/turn because there is no viable pivot who is slower than mega sableye. Meaning the only way to get it in is to have to sacc a mon to be able to switch it in , or to hard switch on the sableye which is very risky. In addition , mega mawile does not always carry play rough because of its wide movepool and its desperate need for coverage ( knock off , sucker punch , fire fang , thunder fang , swords dance , focus punch , iron head , play rough, the very rare rock slide or stone edge for zapdos etc... ) and if it's carrying play rough but not carrying to perfect set to break through its partners , it can't really do much. The best thing it can do is make a dent in the opposing team when played very well which can lead to breaking the stall team eventually , but that's all in theory, applying it in an actual match is a bit harder. - The incoming mega diancie (?) : while mega diancie can bounce status back on mega sableye and threaten it with moonblast , it's kind of walled by its partner chansey since diamond storm has a 54.5% chance to 3hko chansey , and diancie not having access to taunt. **While there are some other pokemon that come to mind that can break through /annoy mega sableye and are not fairy type , they are also not exactly solutions : - Heatran : does not appreciate getting knocked off , can kind of shrug off the chip from other attacks thanks to leftovers , it can't really do much once it's in. It can't put up rocks or taunt it due to magic bounce ( which i'll get to later) , magma storm from defensive heatran does not even 2hko it , and even if it gets a flash fire boost from will-o-wisp , sableye can just sit on it and recover until it exhausts its measly 8 pp ( this is all assuming magma storms connects in the first place) - Mega charizard Y: while it can shrug off hits with roost and threaten sableye out due to its nuke fire stabs , it can't exactly come in every time if rocks are up , and is also competely walled by chansey. - Mega charizard X: while it sounds good on paper because it's very hard to wall , and can switch in to mega sableye basically for free , and set up for free , there is a reason mega charizard X has a 47% winrate at its peak last season. Its x4 weakness to rocks before it mega evolves is not exactly helping , it could be walled before it can set up by sableye's alomomola partner , slowbro , unaware quagsire and toxicked which basically puts it on a timer . It can take a pokemon or two down with it but the problem persists. -Keldeo: Keldeo is never a switch in , it really really does not like getting its specs or leftovers knocked off, and once they are , it really can't do much to sableye anymore , even if it manages to switch in on a will-o-wisp from sableye by any chance , specs hydro pump does 57.7 - 68.3% to spdef focused sableye , which it can just recover to scout the move it's locked into and switch into an appropriate teamate. And the calm mind set just loses to unaware clefable. - Mega pinsir : (edited in) While return threatens to 2hko all types of mega sableye , cannot exactly switch in to it in fear of getting will-o-wisped ,and is completely walled by skarmory . While it's usually partnered up with a magnezone which can trap skarmory , skarmories on stall often run shed shell for this very reason. ---These should be all the pokemon that i could think of that could possibly annoy mega sableye and why they are not viable answers. Would appreciate it if you tell me if i missed one or two. Now let's move the cherry on top. 3- Magic bounce : This is what all stall teams were missing all along : a way to shrug off the best way to deal with them ; hazards and status. This is how balance teams for example usually beat stall (balance has the best matchup against stall , but idk maybe bulky offense could be better): Since stall is really hard to break through by brute force , the premiere way to deal with it from a balance team's perspective is through continuous chip and patience. What would have been a 3hko is now a 2hko after stealth rocks chip . Their unaware clefable that was pestering you is getting slowly worn down by rocks and from passive damage from what could possibly be status (burn or toxic) or other status moves like leech seed , and you can finally break through with your setup sweeper once clefable is down or heavily chipped. Magic bounce basically negates all this and makes it alot harder to wear down the stall team over time. It can safely switch in against every single stealth rocker in the entire game , except for maybe jolly garchomp with rocks and swords dance and mold breaker excadrill with maybe toxic ( although the careful set with toxic exists , its ver rare) and again , thoes are easily handled by its partners. Magic bounce is just the perfect solution for all the problems stall was suffering from , it can beat taunters 1v1 and wall most of whatever stall was weak against. I'm pretty sure the only way to beat a well played stall team with mega sableye in it would be through pp stalling it ( happy Deidaraa noises) or waiting for the stall player to mess up which could very much happen . Either way i think it's going to be very opressive. To whoever reads this , thank you for your time , this was just me expressing my concerns towards what's coming in the soon to be here wave 3 and i hope you have a great day. Constructive criticism is obviously welcome.

  7. As you could guess from title ... i am quitting PRO. Thet thing is I won't have time to play any more. My life goals are different now and if I want to achieve them I have to stop playing games in general, not just this game. This means (imo) games are nothing more than waste of time. But it was fun while it lasted... I've met a lot of cool people, a lot of not so cool people, I once placed 24th on pvp ladder, I was even leader of guild. A lot of things happened... But I also was shiny collector, and I am sure a lot of you guys wonder what do I have in my PC... ============================================================= As for my OT shiny pokes... Rarest one I could get was shiny nidoking (tier 6), but I've encountered this shiny Marowak which is also tier 6. And then, I was using repel trick to hunt shiny sableye, and as you can see I made it! For the first and last time... When I started collecting shiny pokes I had no idea what is nature or ability, I would waste millions on trash shiny pokes. But as time was passing by, I was learning, and changing my opinion on my collcetion. Some time later I decided to collect only pvpable shiny pokes and shiny sync pokes. A lot of this stuff I would never be able to get without help of my friends. Thank you everyone who was helping me! Some other cool stuff Yes that is ID 170 ... just 170! My trainer's card may be interesting too, so here it is... DON'T ASK FOR FREE STUFF, OR WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH IT! But if you decide to ignore this message and still annoy me ... you should go find wild slugma and hug it! Fin

  9. o/ @JustLegend Tip: Might wanna put your flex images in a spoiler. Since it can cause people with slow internet or low-tier preformence PCs to load this page slower, if at all. This is mostly due to the extensive images provided in this post, a bit over the top if you ask me. Also, before someone comes in chat with "But im not affected" line. This only applies to some special cases. As for the rest..., Glad to see all of your achievements on PRO so far, hopefully not the last. Anyway, too bad you decided to make it look more like a flex/rant/sympathy post, then focusing on showing off your PRO journey. As you can see, that's what the majority of players see it as. Nonetheless I understand you. May whatever comes next in your life, guide you towards your desired ending and a prosperous life. Best of luck!

  10. Hello everyone, @MK4 Just a reminder to read the Trade Rules to avoid any confusions in the future, as "Highest Offer" can be misunderstood as an auction which isn't what you doing in here. Have a wonderful day, Regards, Haruyukio.

  11. Hi there @YumurukSi Apologies for the inconvenience and the delay. Unfortunately as stated in this thread, there are things that we cannot return in the advent of crashes : Since your pokemon was not stored in the database yet, it is impossible for us to restore it. Furthermore it would seem unfair to the users who had similar issues in the past and we're not refunded. Although this response might disappoint you, please try to understand. The topic will be locked since we cannot help you further in that regard, once again I'm super sorry we can't be of more help. Have a nice day nevertheless!

  13. Hello there! For your question, it is possible to create stuff for the game without any knowledge of coding or so. The game uses sprites that are made with pixel art and we also create stuff using pixel art. There are many applications out there that can help you start learning pixel art so you will be able to share your ideas more creatively. The most common ones I know are Aseprite and Photoshop. I will also include a few things that might help you visualize the ideas that you might come up with. http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/gen5/ ^ Here is where you can get the pokemon sprites. ProPlayerTemplates.rar ^ While this will be the player sprites so you can also try out cosmetics and stuff. I hope this helps! :3

  16. I am 28 years old from Israel. I would like to join an active PVP clan, improve my skills and meet new people who share love for PRO. My highest rating was around 250 (no tryharding). 2100+ hours on PRO I believe myself to be a friendly and fun guy to be around and talk with. plus I have plenty of good PVP pokes I can share if anyone should require. 17. This is a revamped and updated version of this staff guide from 2019. Because the previous guide is now officially 2 years old, its about time for a revamp. This guide features information about the World Quest, the Mysterious Island (Birth Island) and the Mysterious Ticket that you can earn. World Quest is a server-wide monthly event that is occurring on or around the beginning of every month. The server-wide event has 24 hours to be completed, but will end if all the total IVs goal is met before the 24 hours time limit is up. If the total IVs are not met before 24 hours is up, the World Quest will fail and nobody gets rewarded regardless of contribution percentage. For more information about the World Quest objective, see the section below. Once the World Quest starts, a system message will be displayed in PRO's in-game chat, on PRO's Discord Server and a Icon will appear in the left corner in-game. (See spoilers below) It will also display a message in chat whenever the world quest have been completed before the timer runs out. In-game Chat: PRO's Discord Server: In-game icon: The Mysterious Cultist will pick a random Pokemon from a predefined Rare-tier list each time a World Quest is started. The IVs can be between 160,000 and 190,000, in some cases these numbers can wary. Each time you or someone submits the requested Pokemon to the Mysterious Cultist, it will reduce the total IVs, until the IVs goal is 0. What is IV and what does it actually mean? IV stands for Individual Values, and on PRO it represents the orange numbers or the numbers on the left side when inspecting a Pokemon (see spoiler below). WARNING: SUBMITTING A POKEMON TO THE CULTIST WILL PERMANENTLY DELETE IT, THERE IS NO WAY TO GET IT BACK ONCE SUBMITTED. By speaking to the Mysterious Cultist, you can also track your current progress and how many IVs that are left for the World Quest. If you suceed in getting at least 0.5% IVs, you will be rewarded with a x1 Mysterious Ticket. And if you contribute 3% or more of the total IVs, you will be rewarded with x2 Mysterious Ticket. Here is an quick example on how to calculate how much you need to hunt, in order to reach 0.5% submitted. If the World Quest requires you hunt Fletchling with a total of 164734 IVs, you would need to submit a total of 824 IVs. If you want to aim for the 3% reward, you would need to at least submit 4943 IVs or more. Remember that even if you you do get 0.5%, you would not recieve a reward if the World Quest failed. Mysterious Cultist locations (for each region): Formula used for calculating the percent of a number: How I personally hunt - My strategy The Mysterious Ticket is a non-tradeable item in PRO that can only be aquired once completing either 0.5% or 3% and more during a sucessfull World Quest. This ticket can be used in two ways. Either to access Birth Island or trade them in for a one-time exclusive feature. What and where can you trade a ticket in for a exlusive feature? You can trade in a Mysterious Ticket with the NPC in Vermillion called "H.Ackerman" (See spoiler below for location) He offers the 3 following features: - Reset the 7 days boss cooldown (Do all bosses twice in a single week) - 30 days train ticket, activates immediately once bought. - [GUILD FEATURE] Submit 20 tickets to access guild island. * * Will fail if not all 20 tickets are acquired within the first 7 days of the month. All submitted Mysterious Tickets will be refunded if it fails. If it succeeds, guild will have access to it until the season ends. But only 100 guild members can access the guild island. How to access Birth Island and what to do on Birth Island? To access Birth Island, you can trade in your ticket with the Mysterious Captain found in Vermillion City Docks. Here is a better overview of his location in Vermillion City Docks: He will then escort you to Birth Island, where there is an 50/50 chance to encounter a pseudo-legendary or a legendary. Here is a list on all possible spawns on Birth island. (This excludes any one-time exlusive event pokes or legendaries from special World Quests) Legendaries Clicking on a image below will redirect you to PRO's wiki Entei, Raikou, Suicune (Gen 2) | Regice, Regirock, Registeel (Gen 3) | Latias, Latios (Gen 3) Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie (Gen 4) | Solgaleo, Lunala (Gen 7) Pseudo legendaries Dragonite, Garchomp, Goodra, Hydreigon, Lucario, Metagross, Rotom, Salamence, Tyranitar, Volcarona and Zoroark Pseudo-legendaries has their H.A (Hidden Ability) but no Pokemon that is found on Birth Island can be shiny. To be able to encounter any of the legendaries above on Birth Island, you would need to have captured one of its counterparts first. I.e capturing Uxie, would unlock Azelf and Mesprit on Birth Island. Interacting with the Pokemon on the Island ONCE YOU INTERACT WITH THE POKEMON, YOU CANNOT GET A SYNC READY. If you wanna go get a sync pokemon (a pokemon with the synchronize ability) now is the time. If you intereact with the Pokemon, you cannot end or run from the battle, unless you wish to loose the chance to capture it. You can at any time leave the island by once again speaking to the Mysterious Captain. This will take you back to Vermillion and you can go to the Pokecenter and get yourself a sync poke. Once you're all set with a sync and have a masterball or something to catch it with, speak to the Mysterious Captain to travel back. Interact with the Pokemon to initiate the battle. You can now proceed to capture it. Once you have captured it. First of all, congratulations on capturing it. Hope the Pokemon turns out to be good and of great to you in the future. Check out PRO's Wiki page about World Quests and Mysterious Ticket. How long does a World Quest last? It will always last 24 hours from the time it was announced in chat or until the total IVs are all collected. What is the point of doing a World Quest? You can get a non-tradeable Mysterious Ticket to use for either unique features or capturing a pokemon on Birth Island. When does a World Quest start and is it random? World Quests will randomly start (as of 1st of April) at random. But will be garanteed to spawn the 1st of each month. What happens if a World Quest fails? Will I still be rewarded? If a World Quest fails, nobody gets rewarded, even if you collect the minimum quota for a reward on 0.5% or more. I have all Legendaries listed above, would I only encounter pseudo-legendaries on Birth Island? Yes, unless there is a special event World Quest that spawns a special event poke or legendary. Are the Mysterious Cultists only located in the dock area of each region? Yes, as far as I am aware, they can only be located in each dock area in a region. I wanna exhange my ticket for a 30 day transit pass or 7 day boss cooldown reset, where to find? You can exhange the ticket with H.Ackerman in Vermillion city, located across the water from the Mysterious Captain. I accidently ran away from the battle, can i get another chance? If you ran away from the battle/fainted it, you would need to get another Mysterious Ticket and try again. Some final words before wrapping it up... Naxious created a guide in 2019, which I seem to have "stolen" according to him, which was talked about behind my back on PRO's Discord channel. I have a policy that if anyone feel that I "stole" anything, I am always open for change if the said individual reaches out to me. But talking about it behind my back won't resolve it. I took inspiration from a guide and made my own from scratch. If you have any complaints Mr fossil, my PMs are right HERE for you to reach out to me in a professional manner.

  18. Hello LadyLilith, sadly the art team can't do much about the jumping mounts due to how the template for mounts is designed. We will have to wait for developers to provide a new template to have new animations for mounts.
