PVP Feedback - Landorus

The main reason you dont see landorus spammed in pvp battles is because people dont wanna waste rerolls (nature or iv or both) to make theirs usable. I ve personally played over 350pvp this season and landorus incarnate was poorely used by 2 or 3 players with calm mind set 1 of them i think was bold. Still it gave me tons of trouble and i think i lost cause of it some of the games even though the players werent that competitive on pvp since their teams seemed like they have no reasoning.(Weren't h.o or balanced). Imagine experienced players trying to abuse it who have enough pvp coins/money to get a decent/perfect landrous what could they do. Before i make a team i already have to think of ways not to get sweeped by manaphy cause a serious pvper using manaphy has either rain or h.o with reflect/light screen/sticky web coverage. 1 pokemon alone isnt enough to beat the meta but as you see its enough to change it in a more monotone style. In my opinion monotone is boring. Allowing such poke run free on pvp enables competitive pvpers to adapt their teams around same sets and you lose the creativity in pvp.

To sum up i wish landorus incarnate sheer force to be banned because i dont wanna live the toxicity that will come forth if you dont ban it either that is on the community or the PvP battle stage. And dont forget pro pvp rules adapt on ladder tournament as well that is on showdown so the perfect ivs are not so unbearable there. That's all from me. Peace and love!

116 Matches - 62 wins - 53,4% Winrate on Gold

423 Matches - 236 Wins - 55,79% Winrate on Silver

This is for people with above 200 rating.

This in on par with other things based on usage stats however I would suspect some are higher if you filter out bad players and only filter by rating +200.

Greninja? People cried and wanted it banned, it got coded because it wouldn't stay banned.

Shaymin-Sky? It was insta banned and people complained about it being an option against Manaphy and that we are dumb for banning it.

Baton Pass? We get yelled at for banning it in a test-period while its banned on Showdown.

Now with Lando people come and yell its "Uber","its banned on Showdown/Smogon".

PRO is not a battle simulator, it's not showdown/smogon or that other unnamed Pokemon MMO.

I wanted a PvP council because of this fact, people don't know what they want, especially in this community. There are like 5 people in this thread who understood this thread for example: Jorogumo

It seems like we can't win regardless of what we do, any and all PvP suggestions by me got instantly shutdown to change up the meta like rotating bans to allow a more versatile PvP game but at this point, I can just really say. Enjoy your 6 tanks and 1 hour matches. From the looks of it and people complaining about it, it's gonna get banned but really its just meh.

"This is for people with above 200 rating." please stop using this sentence.its just making your arguement less valuable....and stop pointing out the winrates i pro.im not trying to be toxic but its super cringe cause i am tired of typing that people on pro tha make ladder are not even decent anymore...so imagine if people on ladder are not even decentmhow bad players with 200-300 rating are...and you taking them as a factor to point statistics as an arguement

With all due respect, the current policy with regard to PvP has no basis in suspect tests and bears almost no relation to the concept. Suspect tests are conducted to gather information on the Pokemon, move, item, or ability in question. Banning Baton Pass before any consideration is not a suspect test. Asking if a Pokemon that has been available for two weeks but is difficult to access (reroll tickets + ability capsule) should be banned is not a suspect test. There has never been a suspect test on PRO, because half the voters in any given test have never played with nor against the thing being tested. There needs to be a real mechanism for suspect testing, preferably one which artificially inflates the usage of the topic in question - as the things the community at large consider broken are inaccessible to many.

If staff prefer to continue to manage the metagame by decree, that is perfectly fine, but neither this nor other recent actions have resembled a suspect test at all.

Think this a very accurate depiction of my issue with the current process. We can be different from showdown and not ban the pokemon but we need a real test. Honestly do not think it is even possible in the current state because of rerolls to get any real data. If we were serious about this we should track rerolls used after a certain point and revert rolls if a player wants to for this pokemon so that people who already had a landorus T they were happy with are not punished for rolling an incarnate with better spatk. If it would not end up banned you took the risk rerolling anyways or if it is maybe you liked the lando you rolled into anyways. People have hated this suggestion but it ensures people are not as scared that this being banned is a money waste.

If people are not decent on ladder, then who the hell is playing PvP or wants to make decisions for the PvP environment. Some guy who hasn't played in a year?

Why don't we outsource the PvP council to PokeOne's council and let players decide who don't even play the same game?

This such irresponsible and illogical thinking. Winrates for a certain group of people give away a lot.

That this community barely knows what they want, they showed that very openly in the last thread about stuff: Baton Pass and now Lando

One group wants it to be showdown, the other doesn't, the other group hasn't played at all but wants to make somehow decisions because like it somewhere on a battle simulator.

You dont need to play pvp to understand wheather something deserves a ban or not.And since we are taking shots,i believe i udnerstand pretty well how meta works...the "some guy" as you recall it got 730 points the last time i was playing the game just cause i understand how it works.

If you wanna throw in stats in every post then keep doing it.but since people seems to understand actions better than theory, then what youa re trying to show to the community is that a baby cannot kill you with its hands.I happen to allready know that.but do you?cuase it doesnt seem like you do.

Well i dont think landorus will be big hit in the meta since mostly teams will have a weavile,a banded azumarill ,greninja or even a gengar with icy wind or hp ice and ofcourse rain teams. These things can easily OHKO landorus and since the mons in pro will not be perfect with ivs it makes thr more vulnerable . And some might have wasted their rerols on landorus and ability change capsules which will be of no use if it is banned.

You don't compare landorus with blaziken speed boost without a reason.

With other words, ban h.a land.

Real talk Lando should be banned, rock polish lando can 6-0 teams, I'm not exaggerating, without priority, the 550+ Speed mon with sheer force/life orb can blow teams away.

Here are some funny calcs.

Basically, if you have an HP Ice Lando with H.A, you can break through almost every walls in the current state of the game.

(if you look at those calcs, the following set (hidden power ice, sludge wave, earth power, focus blast) is ONLY getting "checked" by Chansey. (but you're not running 6 landos in your team and you are supposed to have an answer to the pink blob)

Don't you find this already beyond broken ?

Allowing sheer force lando which is a monster (cannot be checked effectively, amazing double typing, legendary stats, good speed and insane coverage) is a complete nonsense imo.

You can't just let it in the game EVEN if it has a low usage. Would you bring ubers like Reshiram and Zekrom because "'it's hard to get a good one" ?

Usage is not a valid argument in this case.

Here are more calcs with more offensive mons :

I'm 100% for the ban.

I agree, because of its unpredictability of its inmense move pool it should be banned.
