as many already know i have decided to quit pro atfer playing it since 2016.

Most of you know my rather new Account "Financebro" the best.

I have been mainly a pvp player and collector of godly pvp mons and i managed to get to top 25 quite a lot of times back in the days and also recently.

After all those years of playing this game, which made me experience my love for pokemon and the nature of pvp again, i decided to quit once and for all.

Mainly because i work in a tough work environment, but also because i believe that playing this game for kids doesn`t add anything to my big picture of life.

I am gonna focus on my other passions like weightllifting, mountaineering and ofc my lovely girlfriend which makes my life and me as a person complete.

Another reason for me to quit was the poor staff behaviour in the last years aswell due. The community was wating for many changes in maps and mons which just took too long and also there were no serious pvp tournaments held by the staff like in the good old times of pro.

Also i received a discord ban which i wasn`t allowed to appeal and never got a serious explanation for why i got it.

But i don`t want to end this in a bad manner.

I am happy to get to know a lot of lovely people which i grinded pvp with, talked on discord, played pokemon skribble in the evening and much more.

First and foremost my guildmates in Dynasty where i became an officer a couple of years ago and pushed the guild 2 seasons ago to be the top 1 guild on the silver server and arguably overall in pro.

Secondly @Lacomus as a dog lover aswell as me and a huge contributor to the pro community, aswell as @Lykabaws which i share my love of nature with.

For all of those who pvp`ed (and mostly lost) against me in all those years, simply thanks for all those fun battles, although rng was almost against me (obv.) 😂

Those who i bond with will hear from me in the future but for pro this is the end.

INTRODUCTION 

Hello everyone's my name is Addison a.k.a Beverr in game , some of you may have know me.

I am also the leader and founder of the Corviknights guild (a chilled community where I have created to make it lively with friendly interaction among members and members can enjoy both pvp and pve without any toxicity, pressure but just vibe).

Parting 

Today I am officially parting from pro (pokemon revolution online).And for the past 4 years i been playing it's has been my escape after long days, late night grind with guildmate,shiny hunt,world quest,guild tourney and a community that I felt like a second home to me.

But lately... IRL stopped me to open the game.Time management,Irl duties,stress, family stuff,mental health has been draining me everyday now and then.Now I am prioritise my real life duties and studies and mostly importantly my health.

Sadly i couldn't not say goodbye to any of my member, for the corvi family if you reading sorry that i don't have the courage to tell y'all or to let you guys know that i am leaving and ik some may judge me due to my lacking interest in pro,less activity but it not what you think , i did try, i did online, I did respond to every help needed from you guys but everyone has their own thing are pending or needed to do in real life I hope y'all can forgive me for my sudden departure, And @Daddyzard sorry for putting all the responsibility and pressure on to you the guild is in your hand now.

After thinking about it for a long time, I’ve finally decided to write this.

I never imagined that one day I’d be making a post like this.

When I first started this journey, I joined with no expectations. It was supposed to be something simple — just another game to spend time on, explore, and enjoy. I thought I would play for a while and quietly move on like so many things before.

But somehow… this became much more than that.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and before I realised it, this game became a place full of memories. I spent countless hours grinding, learning, failing, improving, chasing goals, completing challenges, collecting things I once thought I’d never get, and creating moments that stayed with me longer than expected.

There were frustrating moments too — unlucky days, setbacks, things not going as planned, and times I questioned why I kept going. But strangely, those moments became part of the story as well.

What made this experience special wasn’t only the progress or the things I achieved in the game. It was mostly the people I met along the way. I had a lot of random conversations, met people I never expected to become friends with, played with good teammates, and even had some fun competition with others. There were also many people who helped me without expecting anything in return, and I’m thankful for that.

When I look back now, I realise that some of the best memories weren’t the big achievements but the simple moments — spending time online, talking, doing activities together, and just enjoying the game.

To everyone I met during this journey, whether we talked regularly or only interacted a few times, thank you. Thank you for the support, the conversations, the help, and the good memories. You all played a part in making this experience enjoyable.

This post isn’t meant to sound sad or dramatic. Sometimes people move on, priorities change, or life simply becomes busier. For me, it feels like the right time to take a break and focus on other things.

I don’t know if this is permanent or if I’ll return someday, but I’m leaving with good memories and no regrets.

To everyone who is still playing, I hope you continue enjoying the game, achieve your goals, and have a great time.

I am very excited to share my progress with you as I adventure through this amazing MMORPG.

I'd like to figure out if eventually I could run some services after I get far enough. The services I'd be interested in offering are, leveling / training, trade evolutions, maybe even a service where I go out and catch you a Pokemon, or a team, and possibly level / train them to an optimal / desired level / move set etc...

I have been zooming back and forth between Pallet Town and Pewter City catching and training what I can to produce an early team. I've only beaten Brock so far but I do have several items in my inventory already.

I'd like to get some feedback / advice on what I could be doing to maximize my efforts with catching / training teams as I go, making money and Story progression.

Hi, I'm Star. I used to play this game back in 2019-2020, but fell off after the Discord group that convinced me to join had vanished. I discovered yesterday on the account that I had long forgotten about until now that I actually made it all the way to Hoenn before I fell off, too, because my guild had vanished.

My main IGN is AstralSwept, but I may also pop up as Starlitviviane, Gauldenheart, or, if I feel like jumping on my old account that needs a LOT of help, Galacticpixels.

Either way, my return has been interesting to say the least, and people seem a lot more friendly now, for the most part, though I used to play on the Silver server rather than Gold like I am now. 

Anyway, that's enough of me yapping.

First forum post. I've got about 268 hours so far, really loving the game and community.

I hope to be able to continue to assist and be assisted by the community and I'm looking forward to 268 more hours and lots of end game content!

I've been playing Pokemon games since all the way back when Red/Blue came out. Enjoying PRO a lot already having logged over 15 hours in 2 days.

I'm back to give it another go.

I've been playing PRO since 2016, and I think it's finally time to retire. PRO has been a huge part of my life for nearly a decade. The community, the player culture, drama, events, dumb threads, everything, I'm really grateful for. Here's a small introduction to what I do in PRO before I officially retire.

How I play the game

I'm a jack of all trades, I enjoy every aspect of PRO. Hunting, PvP (Personally love Draft!), trading, conversing with the community, joining and hosting events and tournaments, helping newer players, however my biggest enjoyment from PRO is making content and working on projects. Some of my projects were never posted, some were discontinued, some are ongoing, some were still being worked on in the background. 

My projects and other stuff

My biggest project that's still ongoing is ofc New Leaf. Shoutout to everyone in the guild, I would be nothing without you guys. Having the opportunity to lead and manage one of the longest lasting guilds in PRO was an amazing experience. To newer players who are considering creating a guild, I say make it, don't let others discourage you. Set a goal and work towards it. 

Rare Candy Media (RCM) was a passion project of mine. I enjoy the idea of reporting any and all things to the community. There are atm, 12 issues of RCM you can read in the General Talk Sub-forum if you're interested. Thank you for the art and editing that was provided by @Dos3d and @Walkyrion for the help in this project and everyone who has contributed one way or another at one point. I really would've loved to continue making articles each week. 

Giving money away until Astrella comes out.  As the title says. It was fun seeing how people would react. It was a mix of disbelief, gratitude, shock, and genuine curiosity. I think due to PRO's scam culture, it made it hard for me to randomly give money to strangers. The most common outcome was the player asking "Why?" About 10% of 275 people called me a scammer and left the PM, but the majority of the giveaway winners were shocked and thankful after I explained what I was doing. This project had to stop for personal reasons that didn't involve money. 

Then I farmed 999 Rattata hair and made a "Buff Magnet Pull" thread one of the most liked threads on the forum. Idk why, I just did it.

The biggest project I was working on that never came out and is still ongoing was asking people what there favorite part of PRO was. The goal was to ask 200 players. 100 from Silver and 100 from Gold what their favorite part of PRO was. As of right now, I'm only on the 87th person. This one was very interesting. It doubled as a social experiment. I would PM random people on the server with the question "What do you enjoy most about PRO? Hunting, PvP, forms, quests, events, staff, the community etc." Pretty simple question right? I noticed though, right around the quarter point, that the majority of people were just giving short responses. Once I altered my question and removed the examples, people started giving me better answers. The most common answer in order was the community, followed by hunting, then forms / cosmetics, followed by PvP, events, and lastly quests (Wonder why, most recent quests are unique, don't require the player to check every tree, and provide just enough clues). Guild showcases and spotlights. A project I was working on but never released on the forum. This one didn't hit with me. I tried contacting leaders of smaller guilds to build their community via an interview and highlighting what makes their guild special. The leaders / officers would either never respond or what I assume to be quitting the game. I did interview other popular guilds which was supposed to be an article for RCM.

Reason for retiring

I'm at a point in my life where I have to choose wisely what I spend my free time on. I'm not burnt out in PRO, I still have a lot of fuel in me and several big projects in my mind I want to work on, but it's just the fact that I can't commit to PRO as much as I used to. I have to make a sacrifice, and I chose to drop PRO. It doesn't mean PRO never meant anything to me, it's the opposite, PRO was everything for me, and I have to take a step back. 

It's been fun

Over the 9 years I've played, I've seen many people come and go. Staff members, players, friends. People got banned, people quit, some had to focus irl. People changing. PRO's come a long way, trust me, not just the game itself, but also the people working on it. This is 100% an unbiased opinion, I know some people think it's cool to hate on staff, but learn to give them a break sometime, they're human. Same goes for staff members, we all just want the best for the game. I trust that Wally does too. Not bringing up past issues and going off topic (Make a separate thread if you have to), not trying to glaze either, but I feel like over the past few months, he has improved with trying to communicate things to players. From my neutral perspective, that's what I've seen. Try to respect that at least. 

But yeah this game will continue to change for the better, I believe that, and I will always be proud to be part of the community. I hope that by sharing my projects, I inspire some of you to do the same. This isn't goodbye forever, I'll still be on Discord don't worry, I'm always available to chat, just hmu. My name is Fabian, I’m 34 years old and I’m from Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪.

MI’ve had a physical disability since birth, but gaming has always been a huge passion for me and something I put a lot of time and energy into.

I’m a motivated player who’s constantly working on improving and learning every day. 

My main focus right now is getting better at PvP, rebuilding my team, and understanding the meta more deeply. I’m still on the grind, but I’m committed and enjoying the process 💪

At the moment, I’m also working on completing my Pokédex, including legendaries, and investing a lot of time (and money 😅) into building a strong foundation. 

I might not be a PvP expert yet, but I’m always open to advice, discussions, and learning from others.

I appreciate a chill but competitive environment, teamwork, and respectful communication.

What began as a simple step into a community I admired quickly became one of the longest and most meaningful journeys of my life. 

For 1/4 of my life, PRO has been a community, a family, and a place where I’ve spent 20.000+ hours alongside you all as someone whose job was to protect the integrity of the game and ensure everyone could enjoy it fairly.

MY ROLE IN PRO

As a Moderation Staff and later Admin, my role wasn’t always the most glamorous and visible to players. 
I didn’t design new regions or events. Instead, I worked behind the scenes, reviewing reports, investigating rule-violations, handing out punishments when necessary, and sometimes having the tough conversations nobody likes to have (😓).

It wasn’t always easy, and it certainly wasn’t always fun or rewarded, but it was very important for me… because keeping PRO fair and safe meant protecting the adventure you all love and protecting the community in general, which is the reason I joined the Staff Team.

I know that sometimes my role put me in situations where I had to make hard calls.
I would be lying if I said I’ve always done everything right. 
Not every decision I made was perfect, and I’m sure there were moments where I did wrong (I mean, in 7 years of work it would be impossible to make 0 mistakes) or where I could have done better.
There were decisions I wish I had handled differently.

However, all of my actions were motivated by wanting the best for both the game and its community, and that never changed.

WHY AM I LEAVING?
The truth is, my journey here is ending not because I’ve stopped caring, but because my mental and physical health has reached a point where I cannot give the game, the community, or the staff team the dedication they deserve. I’ve always believed the players deserve my very best, and if I can’t provide that, continuing would feel like letting you all down and kind of disrespecting you.

As some player know, my life has never been a simple one. I was born with more health problems than I could count, and as the years passed, they only grew heavier. Surgeries, endless hospital stays just to survive.

Surviving was never a given, but something I had to fight for, over and over like an endless battle.

Every time I thought I had won, something new emerged to destroy me. 

Last year and the first half of this one I fought through a severe infection that nearly destroyed a lot of my organs and almost took my life. 
I spent months in the hospital, clinging to hope.
Once I beat the infection, I thought I had fixed everything only for life to strike again. Without warning, recently I suddenly lost the sight in one eye completely and am blind, and half the vision in the other due to another health issue.

Due to all of this, I had a complete mental breakdown because I spent a whole life in this situation over and over.
The tears/crying wouldn’t stop, the desperation wouldn't stop and it's been a continuous "why me?" and then situation is getting worse and worse and I have almost reached the bottom of the barrel and cannot see the light anymore.

Given this, I’ve decided to step back, focus on recovery, and fight for myself for once. I’ve already taken steps to get the help I need, and I hold on to hope that better days will come.

To every player I’ve met along the way, regardless if we spoke 1 or 100 times, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who made my years here worthwhile and fun, to the players who respected the rules or reformed themselves after violating them, to those who gave constructive feedback, to those who showed kindness in chat, and even to those who challenged me to do better. 

You all played a part in my time here.

Please, keep this community strong.

Be patient with the Staff Members, they’re not perfect, but their heart is in the right place and they’re doing a tough job for the good of everyone as they want the best for PRO and its community.

Treat each other with respect and remember that behind each username there is a person with feeling and emotions.

Help new players find their way in the game, and remember that at the end of the day, we’re all here for the same reason: our love for Pokémon and this world we share.

Got an email that my account was attempting to be compromised so decided to jump on, change my password and say hello. My how this place has grown. Congrats to the Dev team old and new on their work. Looks great.

Based on some of my posting in the early forum days I was a toxic [heck] head, you will be glad to know I've done some growing.  

The reason is that it is hurdling my studies 

I am currently preparing for jee (those from india know it) it is 2nd most toughest exam in the world for college admission though I have a year and a half left for preparation but my tests results are not good and when I saw my screen time especially of PRO it hurt more 

This with a very heavy heart I am parting ways for some time but when i get a good college promise you'll i will surely play pro again till then

Nach rund 10 Jahren Pause habe ich wieder den Weg zurück zu Pokémon Revolution Online gefunden und möchte mich nach so langer Zeit einmal vorstellen.

Ich freue mich sehr darauf, wieder in die Welt von PRO einzutauchen – einiges ist mir natürlich noch vertraut, aber vieles wirkt auch neu und spannend. Deshalb suche ich den Austausch mit anderen Spielern, besonders mit der deutschen Community.
