Hi, I've tried ti do Heatran quest but I've lost.
So I've lost money (ok) but also two masterballs and a lot of rare candies. It's normal? I will have them back?

I just tried to battle Prof. Elm, did not disconnect, and the battle didn't start, he talk to me but I didn't read (I thought we'll have a battle as always) . I tried to talk to him and he said that I need to wait 11 days to battle again (I've tried to relog).
Just wanted to let support know, it will be first match so doesn't matter.

Hi Dakivid, congratulations for your guide.
I also tried to make one and I found your same results but also that NPC gives you the Tier 3 clues only with certain pokemons.

I'm a little busy these days so I'm not very active, but I've read your messages and I'm going to edit the first messagge with your advices.

Hi, I think the matching NPC-request it's random, so there's not the 100% of having the 3 clues (North or South, East or West, what hole).
For Sabrina I'm note sure but I remember she always asked for a well-trained pokemon

I don't think pokemons must have certain IV. The only NPC who gives you a real clue after showing him a pokemon is Joel, with a Diglett, as written in the first message. So I'm pretty sure that every NPC gives the real clue only with a pokemon.

Hello,
Just posting because I have done the sinnoh underground 2 times now. Both times the hints from catching/showing pokes to the npc have all been the same. None of them are actual clues just simply say "the treasure room holds a lot of treasure" or something of the sort. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or a problem. However having this set this way means the only way you actaully get hints is by giving the items instead. Is it maybe that the pokemon must meet a certain iv total or something of the sort? Also, possibly the spawn changes that were announced may address this? If not it makes catching pokemon to show to the npc rather pointless and would be somewhat dissapointing.

Ivor - Nosepass
Section and hole choosed: North-West section, hole near the drill machine
It was the treasure cave?: Yes, I found a Sail Fossil, 1 Pve Coin and 3 Tiny mushrooms.
Deductions: I chose only a clue for each type (one battle, one item and one "right" pokemon) and it worked. My bad, I could have checked if Geodude is Nancy's Pokemon.

this is my first post so sorry for my bad english :P
I open this thread to collect our experiences in this quest and try to solve it.
In the next messages I'm gonna write the NPC's requests and the clues they give me, the hole I choose to drill (and why I choose it) and if it leads me to the treasure cave.
I hope you will do the same and don't be afraid to expose your reasoning.
Edit: I write the probable soluction here so it's easier to read it.

I think it works like this:
- When an NPC ask for a battle he tells you if the Treasure Cave is in the Northern or Southern Section.
- When an NPC ask for an item he tells you if the Treasure Cave is in the Western or Eastern Section.
- Also it seems like each NPC gives you the real clue only with a particular Pokemon. I think the clue "The treasure room contains a lot of valuable items..." is useless.
Pokemons for the real clue:
North-West:
Silvia: Bronzor
Denis: Bronzor
North-East:
Sabrina: Bronzor
Joel: Diglett
South-West:
Trevor: Sandshrew
Elena: Nosepass
South-East:
Ivor: Cubone
Nancy: Nosepass
Probable meaning of the clues:
What would humanity be without inventions? --> The right hole is the one next the drill machine;
What would humanity be without humans? --> The right hole is the NPC with fixed message (Todd, Albert, the Bug Catcher);
It looks like the entry hazards are up and on the field.. Beware, fire types --> The right hole is the one next to Nosepass;
Climb up or climb down? it doesnt matter --> The right hole is the one next to the stairs.
I'm not very sure of this last part but I think it's correct.
We just have to do other tests :)
Rewards are one fossil, 1 to 3 PvE coins, sellable items (Tiny Mushroom, Pearl; Nugget). They seems to be randomly generated when you click on the trashcan.
N.B. There's not the 100% chance of getting all 3 clues because the NPC's requests are randomly generated and different for each one.

left trash was a armor fossile and 3 pve coins. Right one 3 nuggets. Fossil guy revives all region fossiles and you fight the mon for synch
I've found root fossil and 3 pve coins on the left and 3 tiny mushrooms on the right
