Ok wondered why it could do a little damage with it when it's not supposed to do damage

What does that mean I saw the list but dont understand not coded im new here

I just fought an onix and clicked water sport on my budew by accident and it killed it and it shouldnt of, is this move broken/bugged or what seen someone asked in another form a year ago and didnt get answered???
