Sadly I have no idea of the prize pool, with it beeing a daily quest it will take quite some time before figuring it out, all I know is regular treasure room tends to give me TM-earthquake/dubious disc/gen1 fossile, while secret area gives me either earthquake or earthpower and 5 to 9 pkm encounter between scyther, teddiursa, huisian voltorb, hisuian growlith. every teddiursa and scyther held the item to evolve into ursaluna and kleavor respectively. regular treasure room also offers the possibility to revive a fossile from your inventory for free. The 'puzzle' part with the crystal is quite simple to understand: they're 7 spots that can hold any kind of crystal there's two columns of blue stones the left one tells you if the crystal you put is part of the solution the right one tells you if it's in the right position Exemples below In this situation I know the solution has 2 red crystal (left column got 2 rocks on) and none of the red crystal are in the right position (right column got none) Here I've swaped out a red crystal for a blue and I know that the blue crystal is in the good position because the right column got a new stone In this situation I know the ground crystal (dark brown) is not even present in the solution (since I need one more stone in the left column) and that I should replace it with a red crystal since I got in the 1st step the confirmation that the solution has 2 red crystals. Overall the fastest way to complete the puzzle while minimizing the steps is to take 2 crystals for the most common solution, and put them where it makes the right column grow, then take one of every other crystal, plant them in the spot where they can fit. if one of the crystal type is absent from the solution take a 3rd crystal of the most common color, else you'll have to try to add one more for the other variety. if that dosen't work at all you'll have to fetch the most common crystal type again, but hey at least you wont softlock the treasure room, just take a long time to find it.

Hello, since I never found a guide for sinnoh's underground daily quest I've decided to make one myself. Sinnoh's underground is a special daily quest in the sense that you can get no reward, a reward room allowing you to revive a fossile for free or the secret area room that may contain hisui-voltorb, hisui-growlith, scyther holder black augurit and teddiursa holding peat block. REQUIREMENT A ground type with dig (dugtrio in my exemple) A fire type with dig (arcanine in my exemple) A rock type with dig (Lycanrock in my exemple) A water type with dig (Blastoise in my exemple) (if you want to access the secret area) a grass type with dig (breloom in my exemple) A pokemon with flash or a flashlight At least 3000 pk dollars to enter said underground As a remeinder your dig pkm must have at least 151hapinness to dig, and the grass type with dig must be at max hapiness (255) tips: the pokémon you will face in the underground scale relatively to your party's level, if you think your digging pkm will not fight don't level them up. You can enter sinnoh's underground by talking to the npc in the house next to the pkm center of eterna city by paying 3k I'll cover the secret area first. To access the secret area you must find the Probopas who acts differently from the others. said probopass will use explosion and/or have sturdy when others don't Each probopass 'guards' a dighole, make your grass pkm dig the hole previously guarded by the odd probopass to get the grass crystal and note down the location as you'll have to go there again at the end Once you have the grass crystal talk to the ace trainer npc who talks about four crystals type, she'll give you the spot where to place the grass crystal. The final puzzle solution never involves a grass crystal but you have to put it in to get the secret area to spawn After that it's the same as for normal area except that you MUST dig where you got the grass crystal once the puzzle is solved Normal area. In one of the 4 rooms there's a npc archeologist that will tell you which is the most common crystal type in the solution if you defeat him in battle. (note that he disapears when beaten so pay attention to what he says. his lineup is always the same and the lvl of his pkm scales on your party's average level) The solution to the puzzle is made of 4 types of crystal, rock, ground, water, fire. whenever you dig a hole with a pkm who's type is one of those your odds of finding crystal of that type raise (I think hapiness also plays a part in that). The leftmost column makes a blue stone if the crystal you put in the middle is part of the solution, the rightmost column makes a blue stone if the crystal you put is in the right position. once the two columns are full you've unlocked the treasure room. Once you've completed the puzzle you can now dig to get the tresure room (dig the spot where you got grass crystal to get to the secret area) in the secret area you can find at random hisui-voltorb, hisui-growlith, scyther and teddiursa walking around. the scyther and teddiursa will hold their related evolutionary items. in the regular treasure room you will get items and the possibility to revive a fossil for free This has been my first guide, feel free to correct me if I made any mistakes or wasen't clear enough.

I really feel the sinnoh's underground NPC dialogue should change then, I mean below is the following list of dialogue I got. South-Western Room. Elenea : I've seen four kind of Crystal so far. what about you? come tell me if you find any more! (A good info 20/20) Trevor : The Sandslash I just caught dosen't seem particularly enthusiastic about digging holes. (no value in his quote) Miguel : Back in my day we got 2PvE Coins and were HAPPY with it (no value in his quote) South-Eastern Room. Nancy : Ever heard rumors of the secert glade hidden deep within Eterna Forest? (Sounds like random quote from base game) Ivor : Apparently, the treasure room has better stuff if you solve the puzzle in less tries! (Perfectly fine quote 20/20 would Ivor again) Elias : I miss the old puzzle. (no value in his quote) North-Eastern Room. Albert : I can't Believe every spot leads to treasure now! I just have to figure out this puzzle… (He's lying, every spot leads to a crystal NOT a treasure) Sabrina: My Arcanine loves digging! He finds mostly Fire crystals, but he's so excited every time! (Sounds like random meaningless npc quote from base game but it's a hint) Joel : My head hurts. I just want to revive my fossils. (Sounds like random meaningless npc quote from base game) South-Western Room. Silvia : Ever since the boss allowed Pokemon to dig here, I see more and more new faces! (Sounds like random meaningless npc quote from base game) Denis : My Onix only ever seems to dig up Rock crystals his first few tries, but he loves it here so I bring it daily anyways! (Sounds like random meaningless npc quote from base game but it's a hint) Todd : This cave really makes me feel uneasy… There aren't even any Bug-types here. Instead, some old guy released a bunch of Probopass around here for no Reason! One of them seemed unstable... (That sounds way more like a clue than any other NPC here, but it's not a clue for main treasure room only secret one) Only two NPC even mention the fact that you can change the crystal type you'll get (Denis and Sabrina), one of them (Todd) tells you something about the probopass that sounds a lot like a hit. None of them tells you that you CAN get softlocked, that's harsh. If I diden't found your answer about it NOT beeing RNG I could have sworn it was having dug up 4ground, 3rocks, 8fire and 1water while having no rock type in my party but having water, ground and fire types and not modifying the digging pkm or my party order. From the data I had I coulden't deduce anything even after I softlocked. Anyway I think paying 3k fee to enter a daily quest you can't understand without a guide or a confirmation of how it works by an admin feels very wrong, at least every other daily has either guarented reward/progression (like digging spots) or has clear explanation (bug/fishing contest). Sinnoh's underground is the only one I can think of that can litterally be rewardless and has no clear explanation of what's going on. The fact that this daily is in sinnoh (the only island cut off from the other main 3 region) already makes it underwhelming and not worth going for unless you're rich, I think it shoulden't be the case. TLDR: I think you should either make every npc give a hint of how it works, explain it clearly somewhere, or give a consolation prize to those who got softlocked. Sinnoh's underground was already not a popular daily; don't make it even less appealing. I was really hyped about the underground revamp, seeing updates and rework to make unpopular dailies better is what gave me the will to comeback in the game but I feel it's frustrating for all the wrong reasons and I'm really disapointed now.
