Hello again, If your graphic card's driver is buggy on other games, it indeed could be the issue, thanks for your feedback! You can try to restore the previous version of your driver, you wouldn't lose much in case it doesn't help anyways since it's also an issue in your other games :Shy: How To from Google (as I'm not familiar with neither AMD nor Windows 10, it might not be the appropriate steps to follow ‒apologies if it's not): Open Device Manager. Right-click the device for which you want to roll back to the previous version of the driver, and then click Properties. Click the Drivers tab. Click Roll Back Driver. In the Driver Package rollback dialog box, click Yes. Get back to me if you try, and please tell me the outcome :Shy: Until then, have a good day! nah i don't needa do that...since i did it MULTIPLE times already aswell... plus i use "clean installs" everytime so i can never roll back.. but on the plus side I FIXED IT AND IN THE STUPIDEST WAY POSSIBLE.... so i was having problems with overwatch, and i saw a post saying change resolution open game change back, it worked... so i was on 1920x1080 reso, changed it to 1680x1050, and changed back, it fixed my overwatch.... i pull of pokemon WORKS ASWELL so before telling ANYONE to redo their drivers, tell them all to just change their resolution down, or up, then back to native setting, and it should work, i think it has to do with the new windows 10 update being garbage.

May I ask on which hard drive partition your game is? It appears that, lately, a few people got reading permission issues when their game was located in C: ‒even as admin‒, and moving it to D: or any other partition that you have full permissions on made it work again. Changing the C: game folder's properties to enable reading and/or writing permissions should also work. However, these people didn't have a black screen but a self-explanatory error message prompt informing the user so; I will have to do some testing myself to try to figure out this issue :D: Again, apologies for the inconvenience; hopefully, we will work this out. In the meanwhile, if you can think of any further informations that could be helpful, such as what changed between "few weeks ago" when it still worked on your PC, and when you tried again the 6th of December, please let us know :Shy: Until next time, I wish you a great day  that didn't work, switching it to a diff hdd, the only other info i can offer is its a windows 1709 version error, or an AMD gpu driver error, since this driver has been bugged in overwatch and GTA 5 atm.

Hello again; Have you tried these following steps, already, from the Read this before making a General Support topic ? i did try that, and it didn't work either.

i redownloaded the game, in the latest version, deleting everything else previous, open game up, instant black screen, doesn't do anything just sits on a black screen. i've tried uninstalling reinstalling, deleting all files of PRO, everything, NOTHING works for it. i am on windows 1709 version, heard there was an issue with that. wondering if there's ANY fix for this.

Hello Whitestride and sorry for the inconvenience! Do you have the black screen when you try to open your client, or you're stuck in a loading map screen when trying to join a server? Also, a new client came out a few hours ago, make sure to download that one, remove the old one, and update your shortcut if you use any! If you still have the black screen issue when opening the client, try to run the game in admin mode, and compatibility mode; also add an exception to your firewall and antivirus if you haven't yet! If you have it while trying to join your server, tell me which one it is and I will send you to your last visited pokecenter :Sing: I'm looking forward for your answer; until then, I wish you a good day :Shy: thanks for the reply, but yeah as stated in my title of this thread, "black screen upon launch", no load screens involved, also tried the compatibility mode yesterday, with windows 7 and 8, and ran as admin, nothing worked. luckily there is a new patch to download, so i will download that, and edit this after. hope it works, i really wanna get to hoenn already. edit: welp, i've updated to the patch, pro64snorlax, and still i get the black screen upon launch, tried both versions, tried compatibility mode, tried admin, nothing changes, just a plain and simple black screen on launch.

The New Server Not What I Thought...
Whitestride replied to Itzblackdragon's topic in General Game Talk
the same will eventually happen to blue server though, too many people 900+ queue time, then people will start making progress on whichever has the lowest queue time, and racking it higher and higher up. i can see the marketing aspect of blue server though, double the donations, double the micro transactions, just to get back to where said person was on red, but eventually, like i said, they will have the same queue time as red, and thus another server will be needed. maybe in a months time if that considering there's already a minute wait queue as is. its a good effort, yes, but it's just not what everyone was expecting. So what your detail expect and need to related and consider to the technical and current their sources. because I see them try to expand the cap server, however when it reach more than 1900+, so many get stuck.... So many people in one map make it laggg... What your solution now? i can see it is bottle neck situation Simple, have interchangable servers where your character's save progress can login via a variety of servers, not restarting on a new server. there's only one set back for the devs, more players and no extra profit, via store bought exp boosts/ms..etc... to pay for these new servers but on the plus side, they could create up to 5 servers all hosting a minimum of 1500 players each, that is 7500 players, more than enough for a few months in my honest opinion. -
