  1. Hey admin, can you address this post from your FAQ: "The luck aspect of the game is exactly what drives the interest of so many of PRO's players. Is it frustrating? It can be. But players who have everything they want don't continue to hunt. By spending more time in the game, you have more encounters and you make more money. These are advantageous because you can possibly find better Pokemon, or you can buy Pokemon because you have more money. However, the spawn rates will always remain low to give new players the same CHANCE to find amazing Pokemon as the old players have. What most players fail to realize is that you don't need perfect Pokemon to be competitive in PRO's PvP. If you want to battle people with perfect Pokemon, then use one of the many battle simulators available online." Nobody here wants to spend 700 hours to find a pokemon with one better IV. "Spending more time in the game..." Sounds a lot like you want to keep players playing. You will always have a playerbase, since this is a Pokemon mmo. People will play it regardless. I'll provide an example of a company that had the same mindset. Violin story: You've heard of wow? Remember how they had a policy of no flying in the new zones they release? Well turns out they did that because they wanted players to spend more time in the game. They learned from their mistakes and re-enabled flying in the new zones. How is this different when it comes to the mmo? The game already has an end game that's been proven to last outside of the story in the actual cartridge games. It's pvp. That whole post in the FAQ is literally telling you not to play this game. You have a chance to create a competitive environment here, and you choose to ignore it.
  2. They can literally remove the last 2 tiers of rarity for pokemon spawns and it would make everyone much happier.
  3. Is that why they have Garchomp as OU? Yeah ok. At least Greninja won't be banned right? Why follow a set system that's been proven to work for years.
  4. Or you could just hold the button down like a human being. You know, kinda like the actual pokemon games? Quality of life suggestion. +1
  5. >Never heard of Smogon >Doesn't understand what he doesn't understand >Thinks he has a valid opinion
  6. You do realize this game has been out for a year now. I could care less about this game if it has a few bug fixes and a massive cash shop in another year. If they want money from me then just leave the cash shop alone for now and focus on the quality of the game. I doubt these are different people that are coding this in the game. Also on a different note, the playerbase is definitely there for the mmo, whether the game is complete trash or not is up to the scripters.
  7. Going to piggy back on this for a bit. Their idea of the spawn rate would be fine with me if they had something of a breeding system or at least some way to control the IV's of pokemon. This RNG garbage does not fly in the western market. From a competitive stand point, this game is bare bones when it comes to finding proper pokemon. Right now it would take me an estimated 700 hours building a proper team of pokemon, which is more than what the older games took with breeding. Since they simplified breeding quite a bit in the new generation games, it only takes couple of hours to find what you need. The whole idea of Pokemon being an mmo is an excuse for not having any content outside of slave farming for proper IV pokemon. If you want to appeal to the casual player with such random spawns, then give the competitive side of the game some benefits also. The pvp system is a mess, people disconnecting to grief others from their win. Decent pokemon cost in the millions and I heard you want to make anything over 600 stats banned from pvp? Have you ever played this game competitively?
  8. This mod gave me an idea. Yeah can we add all the mandatory competitive skills into the game so we can actually pvp properly? K thx. Cash shop can wait after.
  9. Battling and collecting are some of the core reasons people play Pokemon. I'm mostly going to address making trading cross realm because that implements itself into battling on its own. As of creation of this thread, there are Red, Blue, and Yellow servers separating the trading community. Simply look at current activity for each servers' sub forum. Yes you can argue leaving a server alone and letting it develop its own economy is a viable strategy, however it's not a very good one. The proposal is fairly simple. I've already looked at some developer logs and noticed an auction house system in the works. Simply make the auction house work across all servers(and probably future servers). Benefits of cross server trading: Equal satisfaction for new players when they join and have to pick a lower pop server. People go to one place on the forums for a more vibrant community. Economy will stabilize over more ground over time, setting a standard price on all servers. People sharing the same farming areas should share the same market. Greatly benefits buyers finding what they're looking for with a bigger pool of Pokemon. Longevity of the game is more solid. Detriments of cross server trading: Economy shift on launch. Takes development resources. Doesn't matter to casual players. From what I've seen, the devs want to keep this game f2p with a big sense of an mmo feeling in a Pokemon setting. As we all know there are two types of Pokemon players, competitive and casual. I've also seen previous tournaments being held so there is a decent battling scene.I feel like a change like this would make the competitive players slightly happier.
