So, we get both the Clone Event and a new permanent map? If so, then Louvie's idea could be a nice teaser for that permanent map

A dedicated group against botters...

Feels so tempting to infiltrate them, uncover their ign identities and report them as soon as the last one reveals himself... -
A dedicated group against botters...
Miyamotokenshin replied to Miyamotokenshin's topic in Suggestions
I'm sorry, it could be that you read right over this line from my post: "handpicked by staff itself from loyal players who have proven themselves, in any way advantageous for the community" Specifically meaning people who would NOT abuse this because they are deemed trustworthy enough by their actions/dedication to this game as a non-cheating/botting player, helping others out. Also, the only ones who should know who the bothunters are, if this idea is actually executed properly, are the hunters themselves and the staff. Which makes abuse easily found out. Think of it as a group of Royal Assasins. This would also provide an extra deterrent against any incentive to use bots. Or just maybe, PRO staff could look into coding a PRO variant of Punkbuster and/or similar anti-cheat/bot scripts? Or just bluntly into dissecting the bot programs themselves bit by bit? Datamine all the bot scripts files for research and create additional security scripts/steps accordingly? Sorry if i sound a bit extreme with my ideas in the last bit. But i just want all botters outta here and barred from entry as good as possible :boot: -
Hello everyone, Since the staff is... understaffed, the risk of botters rising up again, even if only a bit, is not something unthinkable. To counteract against that, even if only temporary, i would like to suggest the setting up of a dedicated player group, handpicked by staff itself from loyal players who have proven themselves, in any way advantageous for the community, with the purpose of hunting down and eliminating any and all bots that might stick their ugly head up or even worse, might still be hanging around. The game's economy has suffered enough under the financial rampage the bots have caused and it's about time we get rid of every single one of them.

Whatever the reason, we need Shane to return soon. Myself, i agree fully with Cavalier. Red server is also down for a while now, sadly.

The best solution, besides kicking/banning botters, is making MS more accessible for real money, besides Paypal.

Only quoting this to comment on the complaint of higher prices of MS sellers: If you are too lazy or whatever to sell good/epic pokémon to obtain money to buy an MS medal and have all the time to complain about rising MS prices instead, YOU are the one being greedy and above all, too incompetent to realize how a progressive and dynamic economy works. -snip- Buddy before you say that I'm incompetent and jump into your baseless conclusion, We can't really say that the economy in PRO and Economy IRL is totally the same, as there are some factors and variables that are present IRL and which aren't in PRO, IRL everyday trades are being managed and the prices of goods are being checked regularly by the Government etc. while in PRO we have T-Mods who manages trades but they don't give a FK on whatever price you put on your Item, giving players/individual the power to set whatever price his greed tells him, thus our economy works like this "I have the money, I decide the Price" and now combine this to an individual's greed and you get a HorsePOOP economy. Baseless conclusion? It was not even a conclusion, so don't call my "conclusion" baseless. And exactly where did i say this PRO economy is EXACTLY the same as IRL economy? Exactly, i never did. IN all chat i even argued against the people that say that PRO economy is exact same as IRL economy. Because it's not! So pardon me, i do take a bit of offense with what you said. Also, please do not put words into my mouth. That said, the botters that are still here on PRO must also be taken out. Let's make sure that happens asap. Thank you.

You can also consider Membership as being $5 (let's say you pay double the price either because you are young or have no PayPal account; so you pay for the service as well). 10 real life dollars. To get 800 k$ in-game, you need to farm and greed for 4 days (if you can do it faster, teach us). How can I dedicate 4 days of my life to get 10 real-life dollars? You can work towards that, i'm guessing you've accumulated 96 hours of playtime in PRO over a longer period of time than 4 days? So, if you really want it, what is stopping you from doing it that way? Also, there's a certain treshold in this game, which is unlocking Cerulean Cave. Once you have done that, you can get alot of poke $ even without MS while leveling up your (potentially good for PvP) Pokémon. Before reaching that point, though, it's comparatively alot less in Dragons Den and Victory Road Kanto...

Talonflame & Gengar Getting nerfed + others S&M
Miyamotokenshin replied to Patisaur's topic in General Game Talk
Oh my... Well, if Talonflame gets that nerf in PRO, it'll be even easier for me to sweep them out in PvP. -
Less players, less sellers, higher prices. In January, the MS' price was actually going the other way, and as far as I remember, it was for about 90k$ for few days. It never stopped to raise since. Bots or not lately, they aren't the main reason prices are going high, only (or at least mainly) greed. Real 100% human greed. Anyway, as you're probably aware, many staff members left quite recently; in order to be able to deal with such a devastating wave of botters that we can't help but read about it all over the forums every 30 minutes, they'd probably need to recruit and form new staff beforehand. :) Or people are just over exaggerating, but that I can't know, I don't pay much attention to others' ingame wanderings I do think bots have a hand in this. Maybe not the main reason, but they do play a part in controlling MS market. You see, with the insane amount of pokedollars they got, botters wouldn't mind selling and buying MS for 1m, they got back the money easily anyway. As long as there are rich botters, MS price will never go back to 150k-300k.
