Not exactly, farm what? the 5 pokeballs and 5 potions you get at the beginning of the game? So don't allow trading until reaching a certain level (10?15?) with at least 1 pokemon, and then it won't be worth their while.

You misunderstood my suggestion. After a reset, you'd be starting over from ground zero, as if you've never played before. You won't have the badges and pokemon you had before.

Just because you can make another account, doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to delete your character and start over. I don't see why it's a problem and a way to "abuse" the game to play the plot over. I've played many games repeatedly because they were good. As Kurt Palka once said, "Any book worth reading once is worth reading again", and I don't see why that's different. I'd expect it to be a larger strain on the servers to house multiple accounts per person than to delete a character and start over in the same account.

Hi, I was recently informed that there is currently no possibility of deleting a character and starting fresh unless a moderator does it manually (which they won't do for a good reason as it would open pandora's box for them). It makes sense that you've thought about it before and decided against it for some reason, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I suggest adding an option in the game to reset the character which would return the player to the dialog with Prof. Oak from the beginning. To delete a character you'd go to settings, hit "Reset Progress / Reset Character / Reset Game / ETC", type in your password (maybe even email confirmation with a link or something if you want to be extra secure), and then you're done. You can start over. I know you can create 2 accounts per email, and up to 4 accounts per person, but I still think this feature would be very useful for many players, or at the very least, it won't do any damage to the game. Unfortunately staff will not reset your account at request. Have you thought about creating a second account to use instead? This way, you will be able to play on the same server as your friends. "2. You are permitted to have 2 accounts per email address and up to 4 per person." I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, I like having the same username in all games I play. Maybe I'll be allowed this one exception? Worth a shot :)

Hello, I was wondering whether I could request an account reset please. I haven't played in a while and don't remember the plot, so I'd like to experience it from the beginning. I'd rather not switch servers for this since all my friends are on the same server. Thanks, Daniel
