Once I beat Giovanni in the team rocket hideout in Celadon City, I had grabbed the Silph Scope so I could progress to Lavender Town but once I had grabbed it my game lagged out. Once I had logged back in the Silph Scope was gone from my inventory and it was no longer there for me to pick up. So I left to see if I could get it again. Now I cannot enter the team rocket hideout again to get it.
