  1. Welcome! I'm guessing this is your first mmo, but there's no reason to be alarmed though. You might have noticed that when the server was new that prices were cheap. This is because you can't make much money when you first start the game. But end game content provides lots of money and as more players hit end game, people are making more and more money. This means that the prices of everything are naturally going to increase since there is more and more money floating around in the game.

Incase you don't understand, if you grinded 10 hours, you could make 500-600k from killing pokemon alone. Selling membership for super cheap makes no sense when players make so much money. The only reason you can even buy memerships is because the price has increased. Imagine if prices were still 130-180k, you could buy 3-4 memberships a day at this point in the games lifespan. That means memberships would be in short demand and everyone would always be battling to buy them super fast. Consider yourself lucky. If you have the 300-400k to buy a membership then you can get one. If prices never increased and stayed at 130-180k then you would probably never have the chance to buy them bc everyone would be buying them in bulk from players selling or competing with each other.

The good news is that the membership price is a consistent 5$, this means you don't need to worry about all the above. Even if prices hit 1 million poke$ you can always buy one for a low 5$ pricetag. Enjoy!

  4. I beat every boss first try with 1-2 pokemon max. Even the infamous deathwing was a joke. I solo'd his entire team with just 1 pokemon and like 2-3 hyper potions. Just get some tanky pokemon that can power up with skills like dragon dance, calm mind, curse, ect.

I think it'd be nice if we couldnt use consumable items in the future (potions, revives, ect). Pretty much the strategy to 1v6 every boss is to use a tanky pokemon and keep powering up until almost dead and then use a hyper potion and keep doing that until max powered up.

    Description and Message

My Voltorb's speed stat does not seem to increase even after i ev train.

Do you see a different value in speed EV?

Anyway, you can actually see the stat change only after leveling up.

That is not true, you can train ev's even at level 100. At lower levels the ev's scale differently though so it won't be 4ev = 1 stat point. Once you get to lv 100 it'll balance out though.

  6. I have this same problem since last update. Sometimes when talking to npc or after a fight or headbutting. I will just randomly get stuck and can't move. I can still chat fine and check my trainer card / pokedex but i can't access backpack, move, or finish dialogue. I had to relog after I beat a boss earlier bc i just couldn't move after fighting him and the boss wouldn't talk to me. I tried battling with a friend to see if it would let me move after but i was still stuck. Ended up having to relog and got no rewards for beating him :c

  7. I use kanto safari ev zone for Def. It's by far the best area to level def. Costs you 5k per try but I found you can get between 140-160ev per run if you are using a macho brace and can 1 shot the lv 15-19 pokemon. The best thing about this zone though is that you get no sturdy pokemon. So for about 10k you can max def ev in less than 40 mins. I wouldn't really suggest safari ev zone for other ev's though bc they're so easy to level. It's only def that's annoying.

For atk, I found Tohjo falls surf to be the best bc you get like 95% + atk pokemon there, same with surfing in mt ember.

Most people prefer diglett cave for speed but I actually really like tohjo falls for that as well bc you get so many raticates/golbats for +2. You don't get 100% +spd pokemon like diglett cave but it's pretty high, like 90% +spd and you definately get a lot more +2 spd than at diglett cave.

Ruins of alph surfing is by far best for hp. You get 100% +hp with a good mix of +1 and +2 pokemon.

really!! how many rare pokemons a new player with no MS can catch by the fourth badge? and will you buy a trashy stats electabuzz for 50k?, the price of electabuzz became like that because he wants money to buy stronger pokemons, but he won't be able to cause no one will buy trash pokemons for a lot of money. and can you state out of the new players how many of them will be lucky to catch a rare epic pokemon to sell for high price to buy MS

That's new player mentality. MS doesn't increase your chance to find rare pokemon and there's only a small handful of pokemon exclusive to MS players. There are sooo many non member pokemon early game you can catch and make good money.

Pikachu, budew, snubbull, chimchar, fletching, pineco, ferroseed, joltik, venipede, vulpix, magikarp, growlithe, scyther, chansey, snorlax, abra, gastly, heracross, clefairy, horsea, squirtle, bulbsaur, charmander, electabuzz, murkrow, machop, houndour..... etc.......

Almost every one of those pokemon are available to non members by the 4th gym, if not 6th. Catch an epic and you're looking at anywhere from 150-500k depending on the pokemon. A godly can net you over 1 million. You say a new member has to be lucky to catch an epic pokemon? Guess what, high levels need to be lucky too.

It is if the game has a small community, and the buyers/sellers are few in numbers. Games like WoW, EQ, EvE etc I completely agree.

I understand a lot of people want to be part of the Rochchilds family but can't in real life so they take out on a video game. Whatever, I will continue to play and enjoy this game even when you tards completely broke the market.

Just do not come whining on the forum when the game is dying out because the market has become completely inflated and no new player can properly enjoy the start of the game because he or she can no longer afford anything

I have seen it happen in a lot of small games, and PRO wont be a exception.

A couple people playing the market isn't ruining the market. It's simply bc the server is new and prices haven't stabilized yet. Prices are also continuing to rise because there is no end game money sinks in this game. After you buy a bike, super rod and dragon membership, how do you get rid of money? Buy pokeballs, take the occasional subway? It's all a joke considering how much money you make end game.

You can make like 40k/hour at dragons den and as more people hit end game, more and more money is flooding the market, so of course prices are going up because people have more money to spend. You say the market is messed up bc MS is around 250-300k.... But you could buy 1-2 MS from a single day of farming. But don't worry, prices should stabilize soon. I wouldn't ever expect MS to drop back down to 120k though.

I agree that you can make a lot of money at the end game but is that even a reason, I make a lot of money so I have to spend it all, and in case of the seller he will gain let's 1 mil from selling a pokemon then what will he do with it? and selling pokemons for high prices makes it impossible for new players to buy good pokemons, since they don't have access yet to places to grind good money, and btw this game market is not like any other game, other games when a seller put item in market he sets price and anyone can afford that amount buy it, but here no he waits for offer new players don't have much money and will offer less than the old players, so good pokemons will only be with old players who have money. which is really disappointing for new players

Except the money of higher players trickle down to the wallets of newer players. A player can't even use the market until after the 4th gym, by that point they have a huge variety of pokemon they can catch and sell. You guys have pointed out many times that even rare pokemon like electabuzz with the trashiest stats can sell for 50k. You act like the high level players are hording all the money and bullying the lower level players. But guess what, we're still willing to buy all the epic/godly pokemon you guys find and we're willing to pay you lots of money for them too. You guys are so focused on buying stuff and the high prices you have to pay that you forget you can sell stuff for more money too and have no problem affording the stuff you want to buy.

The fact is, there's a lot more cash floating around the game than there was when MS was 120k.

  10. It seems like since the last update, the trainers valley condition for red has been reversed. What I mean is that losing to him checks the prereq box to go to trainers valley whereas winning against him does not. That's just my guess though based on what happened to my guild mate and a couple other people said that "losing to red" will get you access when I asked in chat.

Look on forums, ask on IRC, check requirements.

    Description and Message

Hi, I just beat Red and don't have access to trainers valley. I currently have 123 kanto pokemon and 45 evolutions. I have also already been to love island and have 253 pokemon (already completed dragon club 240 pokemon quest).

I have watched videos on how to get to trainers valley and asked my guild mates about how to go but it just doesn't work for me. When I go to the saffron train station, the first guard asks me if I want to pay 5k to go to johto. I say yes and continue upstairs to the train. Then I talk to the 2nd guard and he just brings me immediately to johto instead of giving me an option to pay 10k for trainers valley. I have tried going from both goldenrod and saffron with no luck.

160973 OP it just sounds like you're mad you can't get MS for dirt cheap now. Playing the market is a part of every MMO and there's nothing wrong with it.

  13. Epic refers to a pokemon with high IV's in the stats that are important to it, as well as the correct nature and usually correct ability. Godly usually refers to a pokemon with extremely high IV's (27+ in every relevant stat) and has the correct nature and best ability.

To understand which nature/abilities are best for each pokemon, smogon is a good starting place. For the most part it'll give you an idea of what nature you want, what IV's are most important, what EV's u want to train, and what ability you should look for. For more in-depth info on what IV's/ EV's and natures, just search around on google. There are tons of explanations and guides.

Be careful on the trade chat though, there are lots of noobs who don't really know anything about pokemon and label everything as epic just to sell it. There are also people who simply label their pokemon as epic as a ploy to sell it.

  14. 157679 I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the grinding for the 4th gym as I was able to clear it with 3 35's and a 40 so saying you need level 50's is not true honestly you can finish all the johto gyms with lvl 63 team so it isn't that bad

I really doubt that. Johto gyms are gym # x 10 + 10 for level which means they are level 50. You'd have to outspeed a lv 50 gengar when 15 levels behind.
