After you beat the 8th gym in Johto you are free to use all the pokemon you want, it means you can challenge the Johto Elite 4 with mixed Kanto/Johto pokemon. Excellent, thank you :D

Hello, i've a question, i'm actually on jhoto region and i would know if i can beat the jhoto elite 4 with my kanto pokemon or at leas a mix of jhoto and kanto pokemon. Or is just jhoto pokemon restricted?
