  1. I second this. I agree to this mainly because of doing this on the mobile version.
  2. I'm honestly not sure you are going to find stats that are accurate to what they actually are. I could be wrong and you might actually, but what it all boils down to is luck, you could hunt for 3 days looking for a litwick and not find any in more than 1,000 encounters(been there done that) and at the same time, someone else could go there and Litwick could be the first pokemon they find, and even the second depending on their luck. I think the best way to find a pokemon is probably just to determine which rarity category it is and expect those that are in the extremely rare tiers to take hours and hours to find. I appreciate the work and time you put into this, I just think that since its all RNG that your numbers could be drastically different from what another player could experience. For example, if I had to guess about this area I'd say that Spiritomb and Litwick both have the same encounter rates. Its also possible that Shuppet and Misdreavus also have the same encounter rate(not sure, it could be different, honestly I've never spent any time down there), but you just happen to have much better luck finding those two than you did Spiritomb and Litwick. I am aware that eventually you could narrow it down to pretty accurate spawn rates, but 1,000 might be too low of a number to accurately zero in on their rates.
  3. Are you talking about like an auction house for Pokemon? That would be cool!
  4. Just because there is no set values for them doesn't mean it isn't possible to make a list describing how to determine the values. I think a tier system for values would serve as a good starting point. Common pokemon such as pidgey, rattata, caterpie, and things like that definitely won't have that high of a value, but still my first shiny ever was a pidgey and I had absolutely no idea how much is was worth(turns out around 50k) and a post like this would have been helpful to see so I knew I wasn't getting being lied to when someone told me it was worth 50k. Obviously if someone loves a pokemon they are going to pay more for it, but that doesn't make this list void(if done correctly). If I did a list, I'd do the lowest average price that I've seen. Not the highest, I'd set the values of these at a value they'd have if their IVs/nature completely sucked and then you can add value from there depending on their IVs and Nature, but a tier system like the one currently ingame might be a nice starting point. I'll decide after I see the list
  5. It is about luck. Sometimes I've got great luck on pokemon, others I don't, and honestly its different for everyone. I found an Aron in the first few minutes I was in granite cave and I wasn't even trying to find him. My friend spent hours looking for Aron and didn't find one. Roggenrola was the first pokemon that I ran into wherever he is(I honestly can't remember) and he was a MS pokemon(low encounter rate). I spent hours looking for Absol while I was in Route 120, while I was hunting him, I ran into dozens of Tropius. My friend on the other hand found 2 absol's in less than an hour and spent an extremely long time looking for Tropius. The point is that its based on luck. Just because it took you 1000 encounters to find someone, doesn't mean it will for everyone. Someone could find 3 in a row without finding any other pokemon. I don't think that the spawns are too bad. I might think adjusting them would be a better solution, but I can't come up with a better rarity system without the staff team having to COMPLETELY rework the encounter system.
  6. I've been around a lot of gaming communities and PROs toxicity is FAR less than most others. It seems like you just ran into the bad side of the community(always there on the internet). I've avoided trade chat for the most part because like you I don't know prices for pokemon, nor what people are looking for, but I've made a lot of good friends on PRO. Most of them started as people I'd just say hi in the Help IRC or ingame and gradually became friends with, or people hunting the same pokemon as me that we've chatted while we hunted. There is so many opportunities to make friends in this game, you just won't make any in a channel that is all about the money. Anywhere else ingame you look, you can find friends is you are open to it. I suggest looking for a guild. There are a lot of good people and guilds in pro if you look hard enough without giving up. Sorry that your experience has been negative so far, but don't assume that all of PRO is like that, most of it is not.
  7. I'm not too interested in new pokemon as much as I am in the region behind it. I can't wait to check out Alola and find some of her secrets :)
  8. As much as I agree with how engaged those two are. I think that the entire staff needs to be praised. I've played a lot of games where I've interacted with staff members(original game servers, private servers, fan made games) and even be in charge of a staff team multiple times. I've had a lot of experience dealing with staff members and PRO's staff is top notch and first class. As much as it sounds like I'm sucking up to them, I give credit where credit is due. Not only are they professional and nearly always act accordingly, but they are always engaged with the community and rely on the community to help improve their game. The entire staff is in a league of their own in all honesty. I haven't been around as long as a lot of members, but there is something truly special about the staff here. It rivals that of a company that PAYS employees to do these jobs, but they also take that a step further and are friendly an engage more than a paid staff would. You guys have all truly earned my respect and I hope you continue to do what you guys already do so well.
  9. Like everyone else said. The way I kinda look at it is, do I plan on leveling this Pokemon all the way up to 100? If I do, I usually don't evolve it until the much higher levels when I can just use a Rare Candy. If I don't wanna level it to 100 and just want to use it for the story, I'll definitely evolve it. I'd rather have the evolved forms upgraded stats for the story. So honestly, for me it depends on what I want to do with the pokemon.
  10. Lately I've watched some while playing PRO, but before that I haven't seen a pokemon episode in years. The last I watched was probably the Origins series on Netflix(think that is what it is called)
  11. I'm confused by what the issue is, but I'm going to take a wild guess at it because I'm thinking I know what you are talking about, so correct me if I'm wrong. Are you freezing when you click items ingame? Because that sometimes happens to me and I notice it happens mostly when I find rare Pokemon and I click items extremely quick it sometimes freezes up. Is this what you are talking about? Because this happens to me on Windows, OSX, and android, but if you give it a second and don't close out of the game it'll definitely unfreeze. If that isn't what you are talking about feel free to completely ignore me.
  12. It was already declined because you didn't post it in the right spot. If you want your account banned, I suggest posting it here. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=32
  13. Honestly, most of your cons aren't really cons. 1. First of all, about the anti-profanity rules. I hate to say it, but I definitely disagree with your opinion. As someone that kinda has a bad mouth, this one is especially hard for me, but I understand the merits, and there is actually quite a few good reasons. First and foremost, this is a PG community. Also, anti-profanity rules generally only apply public chats(ingame and help chat). The censor is to avoid those words from being visible to others, it doesn't prevent one from using censored words, it isn't like we don't know what they mean when they are censored. If you wanna keep cussing ingame, don't get upset if you get kicked. 2. I've ran a whole bunch of communities in my life, some even larger than PRO. From my experience if you aren't strict with your rules, you have people trying to circumvent the rules and trying to get away with as much as possible. In a community such as this, zero-tolerance rules are the only way to go about it. Again, this goes back to being a PG community. In order to make the community PG, you have to be strict. As far as others backseat moderating, condescending attitudes, and players un-capable of taking jokes, well actually that is a good thing. Rules are easier to enforce when not everyone is trying to break them and much easier if you have players helping enforce them. I think that this is honestly one of the best communities that I've ever been a part of, this community lacks the toxicity that most other online communities are plagued with. As for jokes, well if I had to make a guess, it was probably because it broke a rule or was posted in the wrong spot. There are plenty of people with senses of humor, but posting it in the wrong spot will almost ensure that you don't get any laughs. 3. I usually listen to my own music. 4. After you joined what would you do? Where would the story line go from there? Also wouldn't you get tired of ALWAYS losing? Also, a lot of the custom content that PRO makes seems to follow the anime, manga, or games pretty closely. We aren't likely to see something like joining Team Rocket. 5. The same reason you can't catch these legendaries is the same reason you can't breed. It all goes back to PvP, legendaries would pretty much ruin PvP. Imagine a few people getting an absolutely AMAZING legendary that will easily break 600 in one stat or another, what happens to those people who get a BAD legendary? Considering that there is only one chance at getting those legendaries, getting a bad one in a game like this would be awful. They might get added eventually, but it might be a while. Personally, I think most of these things that you consider cons have actually been thought out very well by the staff.
  14. I felt the same way, I didn't know Pokemon MMOs existed until a friend told me about PRO. I was ecstatic when I heard about this as well and it turns out that we both decided to join the best Pokemon MMO there is! Anyways, welcome. Hopefully I'll see you in-game at some point, but if you ever have any questions just lemme know. Enjoy your time here :)
  15. Have you tried adjusting your resolution a little bit to see if you can find one that looks good on your phone? Also, I can't view that picture. It is way to small for me to see anything on it might less how the textures look, mind trying to upload a different picture? Also from the little that I could see from that picture, it looks like your resolution is just a bit off, but it could also just be a GUI scale problem. Try messing with that a little bit and see if it helps.
