  1. Re: NEW CHRONOS (Red Server) <r><COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>You might be here for a while, so like, grab a snack and a drink. I'm not known for short posts.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>1. Tell us about yourself!<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>Well, where to begin? I live in Sweden. I speak three languages, used to speak 5, but I forgot two, and out of the remaining three I only speak two fluently (Not using the third too much). I'm 25 years old, closing in on 26. I'm fascinated by psychology and philosophy. I'm curious about everything that matters, and I couldn't care less about things that don't. That last part can lead to arguments, but I view those as an opportunity to learn and improve further. I have a dark sense of humor, the kind that will make you laugh, but also wonder if you're going to hell for doing it. I can be whimsical and spontaneous, but the vast majority of the time I'm a deep seeded strategist who rarely does anything without a crystal clear plan and intent. My personality is best described as a "force of nature", or... ugh... "the calm before the storm" - whenever I'm not having fun anyway. I enjoy reading, I love cooking (Don't even dare ask me if I'm vegan - I'd die if I went a day without meat), I'm a fan of challenging myself and others intellectually and diving deep into subjects that others would rather avoid, I'm also a fan of the simple, and I'm a man of contradictions. Hm. What else? I've been a gamer for almost two decades now. I've set world records in two games; WoW in 2007, back when I was in a Russian guild during Vanilla and TBC, and 9Dragons during 2009 (First World Boss Kills in WoW, First World Max Level in 9D). I used to play League, but I quit - I ended up getting way too competitive and turned into quite the toxic player. I still watch some of the games though. I've also quit CS since 2004 - lost a tournament semi in the city I was living in and got a little violent because of it (Very VERY competitive). Oh and; I could not tell you any of this and just paint a pretty picture, but I'd rather be honest about it. If you decline me, then clearly I wouldn't have fit to begin with, and if you accept me then the chances of me fitting are that much higher, right? Either way, no point in making things prettier than they actually are. Did I forget anything? Oh, I'm the kind of person that if I decide to do something I do it perfectly, but if it ends up being too much work or I can't determine a efficient route to do it - I give it up entirely as I'd clearly be wasting my time with it. My favorite color is Black, I'm a Caucasian Male, 1.98 tall, weigh about 96kg, work out, big fan of bears (they're my favorite animal), would love to wrestle one one day - not seriously though, got no interest in dying early - wanted to be a Pirate when I was a kid, but by the time I grew up I realized that they were extinct, everything was discovered and the cool ships were gone, so now I just watch One Piece to satisfy my need for Piracy. I love playing the Souls games and I'm working trough DS3 right now, on PS4 - I suppose that I am masochistic as I am sadistic, and if that's true then it's "very". My favorite game of all time is split between Drakan for PS2 (Very obscure game, hardly anyone knows about it) and Dragon's Dogma for PS3 - I'm a big fan of Dragons. Probably because of how powerful they are. Anyway; I've traveled across one third of the world; France, Spain, Norway, Russia (Siberia), Greece, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Georgia, USA (Chicago), London, Glasgow, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Belarus, Ukraine, Monte Carlo... I might be forgetting a few. Let's see, what else? Oh! I also enjoy playing Pokemon.<br/> <br/> I think that'll do as a short version.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>2. What is your nickname in PRO? What server you're playing at? (Red/ Blue)<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>I play on the Red Server, the nickname is same as here; LetalisVO - although the game doesn't capitalize the VO, so yeah.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>3. How many hours of game play do you have (check your trainer card)? How many badges do you have?<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>I'm relatively new to PRO, so lemme go check. Yep, 42 hours. Got 8 badges and finished Kanto. I would've already been done with Johto but I was supposed to trade this guy and I can't trade the Pokes to him if I go to Johto so I've been stuck the last few days unable to play, waiting for him to log on, which thoroughly sucks, but hey, I gave my word, so I got no choice now. Anyway, if my playtime is an issue then I can just remain guildless until I hit 400 hours and then contact who ever is supposed to invite me (Assuming I get accepted to begin with). I don't mind waiting until I hit 400 hours. Another thing is though; I'm not rushing trough the game, so keep that in mind.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>4. How old are you? Where do you come from?<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>As stated earlier, I'm 25 as of now, and 26 within the next couple of months. As for where I'm from; I'm Swedish, cause I've got the citizenship and I live here, but people usually define where they're "from" by where they were "raised" - and if I do that, then I guess I'm a man of the world. Cause I've moved around my whole life, or at least up until about 4 years ago (Kind of went where ever my dads job took him - he was an architect).<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>5. What is your ambition/ final objective in PRO?<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>Relax and have fun. I know. Cheesy, right? But guess how much action and excitement I'm looking for after the gaming resume I already gave you? None. No grand ambitions, no sky high expectations, no stress, no dominance, no "be all, end all"-badassery, I've had enough. I just want to relax, take it easy and have fun. Now, just because I want this, doesn't mean I'll succeed at it. For all I know, before long, I will have set my aim at absolutely dominating everyone and everything in this game - as so often is the case with me. But if that happens, I need someone to slap me and bring me down to earth. Last time I did that I spent 20 months of my life, getting on the PC, every day, and spending 16 to 28 hours trying to kill a boss with the other 39 people in the raid, before passing out into sleep - we finally did it, and it felt amazing, but I'm not taking anything that seriously again. No way in hell. A few of us even passed out throughout the whole thing. I've had about as much excitement as a legion of men could ask for, in my life. At this point, I'm here to catch 'em all, accumulate a large wealth (For seemingly no reason) and perhaps climb the ladder to a number that I find acceptable for a man who's ambitions can be best described with "meh". I think that would be the best goal for me right now - and I will listen to as much Enya as is necessary to keep me sedated.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>6. Why should we accept you into the Guild?<e></e></B><br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s><br/> I... uh... What? =_O Am I supposed to sell you on inviting me? What is this a car dealership? Screw that. Pass. I'll let the rest of the form speak for itself.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <B><s></s><br/> 7. Have you in the guild before or maybe you in the guild right now? and tell us the reason that you left.<e></e></B><br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s><br/> "Have you *been* in *a* guild before or maybe you're* in a guild right now?" - is probably how you'd wanna word that. I'm not a native English speaker either, but it's important to have attention to detail, someone should correct that. Now, to answer the question; Haven't been in a guild yet, in PRO anyway, and if I would've left I can already tell you why that would've been; I wasn't a good fit. But since I haven't been anywhere, that's not the case, and hopefully won't be.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>8. What is your favorite Pokemon? Why?<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>Now you've done it. Shouldn't have asked that. Really shouldn't have asked that. Well, blame yourselves, here goes; That depends, I have different favorite Pokemon for different reasons.<br/> <br/> <B><s></s>My favorite starter of all time is Swampert.<e></e></B> It used to be Charizard, and has always been Charizard or another Fire-type for as long as I can remember - right up until Swampert came out. I still picked Torchic, but when I saw Swamperts elemental spread, I knew I had to get him. He was everything opposite to what I was used to having in a starter; He's slow, he's bulky, he's also not that great looking (Pre Mega anyway) - but **** me upside down if he isn't AMAZING. This guy should be illegal. I mean literally. A starter with a immunity, dual STAB and only one weakness? And his only weakness is a type that people rarely even keep around, while at the same time the Pokes from that type are an easy one shot for any backup you might bring. Grass is weak to so many things it's ridiculous. To this day, he's my favorite starter, but then I've never played past B&W. <br/> <br/> <B><s></s>Favorite legendary?<e></e></B> Mewtwo. No contest. Wide movepool, amazing speed, ridiculous spatk - it's a gift from the divine. It's amazing. <br/> <br/> <B><s></s>Favorite pseudo-legendary?<e></e></B> Garchomp. Awesome design, awesome offense, and when it came out, it would dominate everything right, left and middle. Couldn't keep up with it, couldn't stop it. This thing was synonymous with the word "power" at the time. <br/> <br/> <B><s></s>Favorite Pokemon by looks?<e></e></B> Rayquaza - No contest. I fell in love with it's design the moment that the sky's split and it came down to tell both Kyogre and Groudon to **** off, AND THEN THEY DID! It was awesome. This Poke is part of the reason why Emerald is my favorite version of the game. I don't know what it is about, it just feels EPIC in it's journey. The seas a storm that rips cities apart, the volcanoes erupting and melting the landscape - but you've got Rayquaza, and it's got some things it needs to say to that overgrown lizzard and the moody fish. It's awesome. Everything about it is awesome. <br/> <br/> <B><s></s>Favorite Pokemon of all time?<e></e></B> It doesn't exist anymore. Well, not the way it used to exist. Which makes me really sad, but what can you do? Which Pokemon is it? The original Metagross. See, I'm a competitive player at heart - and no one, nay, NOTHING could stop the old Metagross. It was ugly as all hell, sure, but the stats, the stats were just something out of this world. Jesus Christ the stats. Eight resistances, one immunity, no weaknesses - oh god. It was every players nightmare. It was so good. I loved it. It was a better version of Swampert; Enough bulkiness to survive a hit from any sweeper, and enough damage to one shot nearly any wall - the only counter being praying to RNGesus and hoping to God you'd CC it to death, cause if you didn't, giving it a single turn meant death. But then, Gamefreak decided it was too strong, and for once, I had to agree, and it was nerfed - and then, it slowly died. Now when you search for "Metagross" you get this; "Metagross; The mediocre Pokemon" Like literally, here's a link; <URL url="https://smashboards.com/threads/metagross-the-mediocre-pokemon.342187/"><LINK_TEXT text="https://smashboards.com/threads/metagro ... on.342187/">https://smashboards.com/threads/metagross-the-mediocre-pokemon.342187/</LINK_TEXT></URL> Ay, vey. Talk about killing a true legend. Well, I will forever remember it. No matter how short it's dominance over the world lasted.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>9. Are you able to visit our Discord Group?<e></e></B><br/> <br/> <COLOR color="#40BFFF"><s></s>Never used Discord but I've got a mic setup so I don't see why I couldn't. I do tend to keep mostly to myself though. Not that I have anything against others, it's just that it's easier to focus on what I'm doing that way. Something I might have failed to mention yet is that I'm big on efficiency and doing things as good as it is possible to do them - having someone being noisy or all up in your face can often times be detrimental to that end, so it's not uncommon for me to be gone for long periods of time.<e></e></COLOR><br/> <br/> <B><s></s>10. 2. Happy to hear! Thank you for your effort as well! Alright then, I'll see if I can think of something else before tomorrow evening. Still gotta get trough my study session tomorrow. But this will be it for today, I've run out of free time, and gotta go pick up that pizza too. Let
  3. Now I'm feeling more and more dumb. What am I missing here? O_O What part of writing a little bit about yourself is non PG? I mean, don't we do that for our Forum profiles? And what does Pidgey have to do with any of this? Ugh. My head hurts. So many questions, no clear answers. I think I need to take a break from this. I'm gonna go eat a garlic-meat-pizza, this is super confusing  Let
  4. You're right! I glanced over it briefly but I thought it was about revamping the game code for the PC, completely misunderstood that. Should've been looking closer. Feel free to lock the thread if that suggestion is identical to this one. Don't mean to steal anyone's spotlight. xD I'll stop if you really want me to. Ideas and problem solving is kind of my thing, just like strategy and perfection is... Actually, anything that's intellectual is my thing, basically. Can't really help it. But aye, this many suggestions is probably enough for one day. Thanks! Let
  5. Could you link me to someplace that elaborates on what this is? Cause I'm as clueless as one can be. No idea what that stands for. Let
  6. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a quality-of-life-feature addition. I haven't been around very long, as some of you might know, but in the short time that I have been around I've amassed just short of 100 Pokes. That might be a laughable number to some of you, but there in lies the point of this suggestion; With just this few Pokes I already find my storage box to be an abominable mess. Now, I don't know how you guys used to play your Pokemon games, but when I was playing mine, at the end of each, I'd arrange the storage boxes in this perfect manner, placing each Poke where it should be by the national Dex number. A feature that I think is sorely lacking in this iteration of the game. I would be thoroughly surprised if this hadn't been suggested before, but a quick search came up empty, so I decided to write it down. The idea here is to add two further sorting options to the Storage, one of which is permanent in nature. The first would be "Sort by Dex", which would, if possible permanently, re-arrange all of the Pokemon in the storage boxes by their Dex Nr - I don't think any further explanation is necessary here. The second would be a temporary sort, much like those currently available are, and this one would be "Sort by Element". The Element sort would be a very useful sorting method for those who use very many different Pokemon on their team and want to switch them out on the fly - replacing a Water Lead with a Water Wallbreaker, for example, in order to still have the coverage. The Pokes of dual elements would be sorted according to their first element; A Gengar is Ghost and Poison, and since Ghost is first it's put among the Ghost Pokes. It's easy to find what you want to find in your storage box right now, if you know what it is you're looking for. That's what "Search by name" is there for, after all. But it does little to help you if you don't know what you're looking for. Sort by Element solves that. While Sort by Dex simply makes the storage space much less of a mess, at least for completionists. This is by no means a suggestion that deserves a top priority, assuming it's even doable with marginal effort - but if it is, then it should definitely be put on the "When all else is done"-list. Let
  7. Ah, well, that's too bad. Maybe they'll get around to it some day! It'd be a very nice addition to have :D And aye, I meant in game. The capitalization seems to apply everywhere else but in game, oddly enough. Let
  8. I don't understand what this has to do with some general information about the player him/herself? Maybe I'm being dense right now, but what does your gender, or age, or a short "about me" have to do with whether or not you can rename your Pokes? I'm a little confused. Only link I can possibly see here is that they declined the Pokemon renaming suggestion because they can't create input fields inside the game - but if that's the case, then how did they get the chat to work, which requires a input field on it's own? Beyond that I see no other connection to what I was saying O_O Also; The general idea with all of my suggestions is that these aren't meant to be taken word by word. I'm painting an image, but perhaps they want to paint a different one - maybe what I'm saying could be an inspiration to something else entirely - I don't really care. They could implement the Info part and skip the Style part, or implement the Style part and skip the Info part - Either way; It's up to them which parts they want to keep and which they don't. But I'll paint the picture I want to regardless - simply because it might inspire a step forward. But do clarify what a short description of who you are has to do with the suggestion of renaming Pokemon being declined - I feel like there's a few steps missing there for that to make sense. Curious about it though, so don't leave me hanging! Let
  9. Exactly. The writing has a continuity and style, as it is often written either by a group of writers in the same room, or by a pair of writers, now an then it's a singular writer. Point is that any creation, in it's entirety is written with a certain theme, feeling, atmosphere, vision in mind. The Pokemon games have an ability to simplify even the most complicated things in a way that feels satisfactory - the descriptions are never too short, to a point where you feel unsatisfied, nor too long, where you feel lost. There's a fine line for writing in this game. Also, one NPC's dialog needs to feel in line with what the previous one told you, and what the next one will WHILE allowing for their individual personalities to shine trough - a sense of continuity is thus estabilished. These things aren't exactly something you can take a screen shot of and post on the forums where it drowns in the rest of the posts. It's something that you need to be able to discuss with the writer in question. Which is why this suggestion was made. There was a paragraph explaining this :D Selecting two to three people who are willing to provide this service then allows those few testers to have a direct access to the writer, with whom these things can be discussed, resolved and improved Funny enough, I've selected this color specifically because it's so gentle on the eyes and makes reading a pleasure. Of course, when I was picking it, I hadn't considered the default theme being white :D I picked the dark one, long before I even made a account and logged into the game and kind of forgot that it wasn't the default one. Apologies for that! Switching to the dark theme should make the whole thing much more enjoyable though! If you're willing to try it! Let
  10. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a player customization addition. Chances are that this is one of the more radical things I've suggested, at least from my point of view, but never the less, it's something that I think would be a good addition and something that is, quite frankly, expected in our day and age - I do not mean this disrespectfully. I don't know if this was the case for many others, but I do think that it must have been the case for more people than just me; I had no idea that I would be wearing my username as my name tag. Perhaps that sounds ridiculous, but trough the systematic programming of the original Pokemon games every other year, I had grown accustomed to getting to name my character. And as such I didn't expect for us to not be able to set a name that others would know us by. Which is what this suggestion revolves around. The question of difficulty is, of course, of great importance here and the viability of this suggestion hinges on that - I'm aware of that much. But, as the saying goes; Nothing worth keeping is easy, so let's get into it. The idea here is to create an item that could be purchased trough the game shop, for coins of course, that would allow us to set up a Display Name, or a Character Name, rather - The item itself would disappear after the use, essentially being a consumable, much like the MS item currently is. Now, I call it a Display Name because that would be the intended use of the item; Not to change your actual username, that stays the same (As it would be a nightmare to change it, I'm guessing), what changes is that the server sets up a Display Name that it shows to others rather than the actual user name itself. The same rules would of course apply as to when selecting a User Name; A character limit, no capitalization past the first letter and so on - but what this would offer is the liberty of further customizing our characters. Not only that, it would give those of us who didn't spend too much time thinking about our username selection a way to resolve that very issue. The username could still be displayed next to the display name in the Trainer Card, in order to be able to identify the same person, even if the name had been changed, such as; "Mario (Mario1992)" Where "Mario" is the Display Name and "Mario 1992" is the User Name and thus the ID of the person, but when walking around or talking in chat, what the game would show is simply "Mario". The names should, of course, be singular and the server should check both the User Name and the Character Name lists, before allow the name change to go trough. If the change does go trough, however, that's when the item is removed from the inventory (It would be silly if the item was consumed even though the game didn't allow you to change your name due to what you wanted being taken). The same item could then be used by a person to alter their Display Name, if they so desire. Perhaps they misspelled it the first time, or grew tired of it, or went trough a identity crisis much like when Snoop Dogg become Snoop Lion (Wtf?). Whether this item would be trade-able or not, is largely up to you, although I see no reason for it not to be if the User Name is still displayed, as explained above, in the Trainer Card (This means that a scammer can't just "reset" their reputation, as an example). The technical difficulty, if there is any, might be the pivot that determines the true usefulness of this idea. I've played games where this wasn't all too difficult to code, and so it was done rather quickly, and I've also played games where this would involve too much effort - which one of the two this is, I don't yet know. But I'm hoping it's the former :D Let
  11. I'm glad that you've found merit in this! Happy to be of help Let
  12. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a player customization addition. One of the things that I have found myself to be a very big fan of, in this game, is our ability to customize our characters. A concept that I would like to further expand upon, with this suggestion. I've had this idea since the moment that I went trough the in game shop and put together, what I perceive to be, a thematic look. It was a great experience, and one that I think we could do a lot more with. So, what is the suggestion, exactly? Well, the idea is to add 19 additional Trainer Card styles. One for each Pokemon Element (Of which there are 18) and a final 19th style that is a jumbled mix of all the elements - it could for example be a vortex of the elemental orbs, as design (I'll leave that particular part up to you! After all; The art needs to fit the artists vision), this, together with the Default Card style, brings the total to 20. Each style would modify the border, the backdrop and the general style of the Trainers Card to befit the element that it represents. A trainer who is a fan of the water type may use the Water Card, a fire fan may use a Fire Card, and so on. For those of us who are fans of all kinds of different elements there is the 19th card style, which for the moment I'm going to don the Flux Card. Now, how these card styles are accessible is up to you; Maybe trough being victorious in a Gym, maybe trough certain check points in the game, maybe depending on some sort of choices made trough the story, maybe even for sale in the Coin Shop (Or available in game AND in the Coin Shop, for those who would want a short cut), or hell, maybe they're available right from the start of the game - the details are, of course, up to you. However, if the Card Styles were made available in the Coin Shop, it would be a great idea to make them a usable item, one that is consumed on use (Much like the MS), that is also trade-able, thus enabling those of the community who can't pay for them to also acquire them trough trade. Now, that is the Styles part, but what about the "extended" part of the suggestion? Well. You guys know the arrow just below the Local and Server time, that if clicked brings up the Pokemon available on that particular Route? I had an idea of what would be possible, if a similar arrow were added to the Trainer Card (The look of which I recommend be thematic to the Card as well), bring up a side panel with a set of information on the player in a scroll-able section format; Badges earned, Statistics and a Profile with some general information that the Trainer could set up about themselves. Nothing lengthy, but something to serve as an introduction to strangers. And, if you hadn't guessed it earlier, that part about strangers might've done it - both the Statistics, Badges, Profile and Styles are all visible to other players when they inspect you. Now, if such was to be the case it would be a good idea to provide the option to either leave some fields empty, or the ability to choose what to show or hide in the game settings. One small, and final thing, that I'd like to add, is the following; When a player hides their team, and you inspect them, this generally leaves the whole thing rather... empty looking. A way that I have thought of solving this is by making the Card Styles have small emblems as backdrops for the Pokemon Team. Such as; The card itself, where the Pokemon is usually displayed, has a small flame on the Fire Card style, or a drop of water on the Water Card style - if the Team is visible, then you can see it just fine, but if it's hidden, then you still get an aesthetic look of the character as they are surrounded by 6 flames, or 6 water droplets, or 6 bolts of lightning - and so on. Any and all parts of this suggestion are, of course, up to you to fine tune and change however you see fit; It's the general idea of being able to further customize our characters and develop a theme and a sense of self that is key here. Let
  13. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for the Staff team in particular. As I am in no way aware of how you guys handle things within the team, this "suggestion" might very well be underway, or already set into practice, and if such is the case then I am unaware of it, and apologize for wasting your time. I hope you excuse me and lock the thread if such is the case, barring that however I'd like to share the following; Keep in mind, as I'm saying this, that I've only finished Kanto, as of now. In my experience of doing so, however, I've encountered some, not many, but some really odd spelling issues as well as NPC's that suffer from... Um... Poor writing, let's say. Ash during the Mankey quest is one, some of the Elite four is another and then a few random trainers here and there that I don't recall all too well. This is a part of my "polish goes a long way"-philosophy and I am aware, to some degree, that "polish" isn't the part of development where you are, as of now. Which this suggestion addresses and works around. As you yourselves may not have the time to go trough all of the game story, battle every trainer and find all of the mistakes, I'd recommend (This being the suggestion) that you open up recruitment for a few Writing-Testers. You won't need many, two to three at most. These people then go on to make new accounts and play trough the game, if they detect any spelling errors or instances of either too simplistic or overly complicated writing that fits poorly within the game, or it's story, they then screenshot it and report it with a description of what is an issue with the writing, why and where it's located. These reports can then be addressed by you in whatever manner you see fit (Which hopefully results in improving the writing). From what I've experienced so far, this seems to be a very loving community, and I have no doubt that many would be willing to do this sort of testing for you, seeing the improvement that it brings to the game as the reward for their efforts - this frees up your own time, involves the player base in the process of development a lot more, and overall adds further to the authentic feel of the game that a lot of times it captures perfectly. Spelling errors and poor writing are the serial killers of immersion - this provides a format within which you create a win-win solution. Finally, to address the obvious question; Why testers and not just a thread where anyone who spots these things can report them? A lot of the time, the issue isn't as much in the spelling as it is in the wording and how befitting a certain phrase is to a situation. The Pokemon games have a sort of simplistic charm about them, their own style of writing - that style, if aiming for as an authentic of a experience as possible - needs to be maintained. A lot of the time I find myself reading an overly complicated, and seemingly "scientific" description, out of the blue - which procures the need to skip trough it as quickly as possible. This, I think, is a wasted opportunity. However, in order for a person to be able to judge the flow of the game, they need to be in the process of playing trough it in it's continuity, this enables our brain to spot things that don't fit a pattern, things that are out of place. Something that a person solely looking for spelling errors while rushing trough the game is paying little attention to and is thus unable to spot. I hope you find this of use, Let
  14. Not yet! I've just started doing my research on the matter, I'm afraid. I tend to choose the people I interact with carefully - after all, they end up both shaping and sharing your experience of the game, to some degree. But now that you've made the suggestion, I'll be sure to check them out! Let
  15. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a quality-of-life-feature addition. I've read trough the forum post in this section that covers what has already been addressed and I'm aware that "Changing the Dig/Headbutt confirmation displays" has already been discussed. However, and I suppose this is as much a question as it is a suggestion, would it be easy enough to make the Pokemon selection display interact with hotkeys, much like the prompt of "Would you like to select a Pokemon" earlier in the process (The "Yes or No"-part)? It's a very minor change, but consistency is synonymous with polish and if we can't make the game automatically detect a Pokemon with Dig/Headbutt (Like the original games would), or change the display itself, then this minor change would add to smoothing things out. As an example; I was expecting this to work by default because the Pokemon selection in battle is responsive to hotkeys - so it seems both weird and inconsistent that the prompt Pokemon selection isn't. Let
  16. That's what I'm doing right now! But at the same time, that's what made me think of the suggestion. If people feel it's redundant, then so be it. After a community is set in it's ways it's much like trying to teach an old dog new tricks. But if there is room for it then it'd be a nice addition, would only work towards adding more activity to the game, from my perspective. Thanks for the interest though! Let
  17. Hi there! I'm playing on Red, and the instance I'm talking about occurred roughly 24 hours ago, lasted a little over an hour. I had time to kill and nothing to do (The consequences of which I've covered in my other suggestion about log out times :D) so I spent that time looking for a guild and was unable to find one. In game, anyway. It felt rather odd, considering how All chat was bustling with life at the time. Let
  18. I guess I must've been trying to find one during some sort of a downtime then, which lasted quite a few hours. Let
  19. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a personal-preference OR a re-collaboration addition. I've often found myself (Thus far) setting times to meet up with people, to either trade them or discuss something with them and then, while waiting for them to show up, being repeatedly kicked off of the server due to the "logout time" currently set as a threshold. Now, in my opinion, both of the "log out" and "AFK" timers are way too short, to a point where they become a nuisance and ruin the otherwise pleasant experience. On one hand, you could be browsing the Pokes in the chat, and still be set as AFK, which begins the countdown for being logged out. The game doesn't pick up on the fact that you're browsing and thus clearly not AFK, and flags you as such anyway. So you end up having to get into the habit of moving around constantly, for no reason, just not to get logged out. This breeds a sense of paranoia in what is otherwise a very relaxing experience, and it simply doesn't fit into the overall atmosphere of the game. On the other hand, if you're waiting for someone to show up, with nothing to do while waiting, you might be browsing, or doing something else while occasionally checking if the person has come online or not - if you do this, "occasionally" better mean "often, no, like really often", or you get kicked off the server. This threshold, the kick off after being flagged AFK, needs to be extended as well. Now, to clarify; I have understanding (as I've been a member of many Staff teams before) for why these timers have been set as tightly as they are - and this is of course assuming I'm right in my guess - and it's due to the fact that the traffic to the server is constant and slots need to be freed up in order for the people who actually haven't moved for the last hour to take up unnecessary space and clog up the server, and I do understand the logic behind this as well as the importance of a readily available server with no queue times. However, the timers simply feel *too* tight. It becomes a thing of "If you're going to do anything else but actually play, just log off and come back when you're ready to do something" - which in and of itself is fine, however it doesn't fit the social interaction part of what a multiplayer game is. I would suggest to either add an option to the game settings where the timers can be modified, or failing that, extend them yourselves. I can see 10 minutes being perfectly reasonable for example (Considering the game is running on 3 servers). This, however, is just my humble opinion on the matter as a man having to alt tab every 40 seconds and move around, for hours on end now. It's starting to feel more like a mental tick I can't get rid of at this point, but one that is more of a splinter in my mind then anything of value or benefit. Let
  20. Hello everyone! This is a suggestion for a quality-of-life-feature addition. I haven't been playing for a few thousand hours, as a lot of the people I've met here already have, and I am relatively new to the game, but one of the features that I've felt to be missing so far, is a recruitment tab in the chat. I've noted that recruitment posts are being made in the Guild section of the forum, but aside from giving the forum itself more traffic, there doesn't seem to be much point in taking something that should be happening in the game itself, and moving it onto a different medium entirely. Thus, I'd like to suggest adding a Recruitment Tab to the in game chat for the Guilds to post their recruitment messages, or for people who are looking for a guild to get into contact with those who might be interested in recruiting them. I spent a couple of hours asking around in All the other night, but to no avail, so I'm guessing that there is a general consensus in the community that as far as guilds are concerned, the IG Chat isn't where one solves that - perhaps that ought to change. Let
  21. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Appreciate it  @MecanoJilano All valid points there! And thanks for the enouragement! Also, I think that the giant endless falling pit you're thinking of was called the Everfall, although I'm not too sure myself either, anymore. It's been a long time since I've played the game. It is my favorite though. Wish I still had my PS3. I'm pretty sure I put well over 2000 hours into that game. Too bad the sequel didn't get released in the West :( Let
  22. Hello everyone! Found this section while browsing the other day and figured I'd dip my toe in it. Name's Let, playing on the Red Server. I'm 25, an avid fan of psychology, philosophy, my own specific niche of literature and, like most of you, of most good things life has to offer. I've been a gamer since I was, I think, five years old. So that's two decades now. From SEGA til PS4, I've been tagging along on the journey - spent a good 10 of those years playing MMO's, far too many to name. But my main time sink was always WoW, up until I quit some four years ago. Pokemon though, has been a constant thing that I've returned to, time and time again. And that's what I'll focus on in this intro. My favorite Poke game, I'd have to say, is Emerald. I don't entirely understand what it was from that game that stuck with me, but there was just something truly epic about it - whether it was the length of it, or the scope of the changes to the world you experienced, or maybe I'm lying and none of that was really the reason. Maybe I loved it so much because of my, then, favorite Poke of all time; Metagross. It was pretty much unstoppable, before they nerfed it into the ground. Well, things are inevitably going to change, I suppose. My most disliked Poke game would have to be... Every "Yin & Yang" game. The two they release before the third, larger one, comes out that combines both the previous ones. I understand that money "has" to be made, but silly is just silly - which is what these are. There was little to no reason to have Ruby and Sapphire before releasing Emerald for example - could've just made those a "mode selection" at the beginning of the game. But I digress. I found PRO trough a Twitch Highlight video on YouTube that one of my only three favorite LoL streamers had posted. The video in question wasn't about PRO, but he was playing it in the background as he was waiting for the Queue to pop, and when I saw other players running around the world it hit me that it was an MMO (Well, not really, but I don't want to get into the technicalities), and from there I did some research and found out about the game. A couple of weeks later; And here I am. The streamer in question, for anyone who wants to know, is PinkWard - a Shaco main who is, at times, cerebral in his gameplay - which is the parts I like. The other two are Shaclone (Shaco main) and Singed420 (Singed main) for those who are wondering. Now as far as my experience in the Pokemon games; I've never played it competitively, or not to any serious degree. I know many are bound to disagree with me (duh - it's kind of why we're here after all) but I feel that it defeats the joy that Pokemon games bring if you start thinking of the franchise as an "e-sport". Maybe that's just me though. I think of these games more as a "wondrous exploration"-type of experience. Which is really odd, because when it comes to any other game out there, be it the Souls franchise, or the Witcher games, or any of the MMO's - I can't shut my brain of from thinking about doing everything in the most efficient and perfect ways possible. I've been min-maxing everything for two decades straight, and the only break I've had from this has been in the Pokemon games, where I simply don't care and enjoy myself. I don't know if it's the soundtracks, or the art style, or if it's something else - but whatever it is, it successfully captures that "grand journey"-feeling, instead of being a "go from point A to point B"-type of game. To each their own, I suppose. This being said though, I am looking forward to getting trough the content and seeing everything that the game has to offer. My opinion on PRO so far? It's the most fun I've had... In years. Which is weird. I didn't even remember that gaming could be this awesome. I guess that's what happens when you take everything too seriously for well over a decade; it becomes a chore, instead of a fun thing. So far, I'm a big fan of the soundtrack selection (Which are great), the art style, the sprites, the customization - it's all great. Does have some flaws though, things that I personally dislike, such as; Can't easily re-arrange moves, animations for a lot of the moves are missing, headbutting has a cooldown (wut? =_O), some spelling mistakes and, the one that has confused me the most so far, Ash rewards you for finding his hat by randomly kicking your ass with what seems like a Lvl 100 Pikachu outside of the Grass gym housing Lvl 35+ Pokemon. That last one still has me shocked - pun intended. Despite all of this though, which I'm sure the Devs will smooth out over time (And you should!), it's a great game and I'm loving every second of it, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of the games I've played in my life - except for Dragons Dogma... That game was a-****ing-mazing. I'll end it on that. As I'm sure most of you have realized at this point that I don't do short posts, so I'll spare you the pain of going on further, which I could do at least for another couple of hours. Anyway, this is me and I'm looking forward to being a very quiet and lurking part of the community, despite what you've seen here. Or, at least I'll try! Let
  23. A small update; I have found all of the Pokes that I was looking for! Requesting thread lock. Thanks everyone! Let
  24. Hello everyone! I'd like to explain shortly what type of purchase this is; I'm not looking for Pokes that are highly competitive stat-wise. Matter of fact I just want to use these to run trough the game with, so a big part of the requirements are negotiable or entirely optional. I haven't had any luck finding a single one of these, that satisfies my requirements for "decent", on my own (Bad luck, I guess - I even found a Teddiursa with 28 to 31 in everything except for the Attack stat... You gotta love RNG) so I decided to take to the forums to see if anyone would have these for sale. Here's a detailed description of what I'm looking for; Name; Fletchling Gender; Male (This is a must) Nature; Hardy/Docile/Serious/Bashful/Quirky preferably. Naughty/Hasty/Rash will do as well Ability; Big Pecks IV's; Everything above 10-15 is preferable EV's; Doesn't matter Moves; Doesn't matter Level; Preferably 20 or below, but a bit higher can work Name; Teddiursa Gender; Male (This is a must) Nature; Hardy/Docile/Serious/Bashful/Quirky preferably. Brave/Quiet will do as well Ability; Quick Feet IV's; Everything above 10-15 is preferable, but Speed being lower could work EV's; Doesn't matter Moves; Doesn't matter Level; Preferably 30 or below, but a bit higher can work Name; Joltik Gender; Doesn't matter Nature; Modest/Timid preferably. Hardy/Docile/Serious/Bashful/Quirky will do as well. Ability; Compoundeyes IV's; Everything above 10-15 is preferable, but Attack largely doesn't matter, so it's fine even if it's 01 EV's; Doesn't matter Moves; Doesn't matter Level; Preferably 20 or below, but a bit higher can work As you can see the EV's and Moves are largely irrelevant. As long as the Poke in question has one of the Natures, the right ability (If two are possible), decent IV's (I'm by no means looking for anything Epic, or Legendary, or Mythological, or anything of the sort) and is within the level bracket - I'd be more than happy to purchase these from you. Keep in mind that they do not need to be leveled, nor trained - I'd like to do that part myself! If you happen to be in possession of all 3 of these, within the requirements provided, I'd be happy to pay extra for them, think of it as a "package bonus". I'm a big fan of efficiency after all. Got any one of these for sale? Feel free to leave a screenshot, along with your asking price and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! And as far as the prices go, I'm open for largely anything, within the realm of what's reasonable for these. Have a good one! Let
