No this is the first I have heard of synchronize. I have a couple abra with sync but none with timid or modest. Ended up just trading a couple rc for a decent gastly that I maxed ev trained in a day now at lvl 80. I'll have to start a new hunt for a good sync poke or maybe find a trade. Thanks for the info guys very helpful.

Thanks for your input Giovanna. However, I'm not looking for a pvp viable gengar. I really just want something decent. At this point I would be happy with an above 20 iv in speed and spat as long as it had a desirable nature. Not going to give up just yet but seriously considering it.

I have two slightly above garbo abras and was wondering which I should train. I obviously wouldn't use them for anything other than pvc gameplay.

I am new to pro but I am not new to pokemon. I have been hunting for a timid or modest gastly/haunter with good IVs for a few days now. After several hours and 50k spent in pokeballs, I have 6 pages in pc full of garbage gastly and haunter :Angry: . I am now broke and fairly upset with the game. Never have I struggled this hard in any pokemon game. The bad thing is, is that this is not the first failed farming attempt in pro. Any suggestions?

I respect your dedication. However, I am not committed enough for long periods of farming. Three hours is more than enough time for me. I know it's not an ideal gyarados, but is it viable for battling elite four and any other story line mission? I'm well aware that it will never be competitive in pvp.

So I have been magikarp farming for nearly 3 hrs only to find a modest magikarp with near perfect IVs. The most important stat, ATK has a -10 due to modest nature and IV of only 13.... but all the other IVs are above 29. I am tired of magikarp hunting and am ready to settle down with my special attacking gyarados. Is this an awful idea? What moves should I go with? I was thinking ice beam, flamethrower, surf-STAB, and thunderbolt.
