hello! i don't know if this is the right area to report this but the previous days i was trying to finish the legendary dogs quest and while i was at the part of fighting and winning in the fight against ho-oh instead of getting the seen data of ho-oh (in a related video in youtube a player got it's seen data after the fight) i got caught data of ho-oh.. checked my pokedex and it seems like i own the pokemon but as i imagine this must be some sort of bug right?

No, this is due to the newest Ho-oh miniboss. The reward for defeating it is it's caught data. I believe you had the requirements to battle the mini-boss and so you got the correct reward. You shouldn't experience any issues.
