Want to know about the orbs

Hey friends, I m a bit confused about working of orbs.

Please help me with knowing it's mechanics, do all orbs boost power of attack, and if so then don't flame orb reduce attacks power?

And an off topic thing, what would be the price for life orb and other choice items?
