Scizor with Baton Pass

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have not noticed players using Scizor with Baton Pass. So my simple question is: is it banned on PvP battles?

Thanks for help!

Hello there!

The Baton Pass clause is one of the more complex rules regarding PVP. I'll attempt to explain it to the best of my ability - and if you're in doubt, you're always free to ask more.

For reference, all of the PVP rules can be found here.

The Baton Pass clause states:

  • Baton Pass Clause: A Pokemon cannot pass +Speed and another stat simultaneously. You are limited to have only one Baton Pass Pokemon per team.

This means you (or your opponent) are allowed to use Baton Pass in situations where you pass Attack, for example. You can basically pass anything, as long as you don't pass Speed along with another stat.

You're also limited to one Baton passer per team. If you want to report this incident, I imagine video evidence would be the most sufficient.

Kind Regards and good luck!
