Mahogany Rocket Hidout glitch

What have you done before the problem was there?

I entered the rocket hidout in mahogany town in Johto.

What have you already tried to solve the problem?

Tried to go back in the hidout but can't anymore, a npc is blocking me.

Description and Message

I fought all the trainers on the first and second floors of the hidout.

Peter stood in front of the Electrodes room, denying access until activation of certain computers.

I healed my pokemons in the center, went back in the hidout and went for 3rd floor.

I fought all the trainers in the first computer room, activated only one computer (bottom-right), and headed back to Peter to check the status. He still said sth was needed, but I pressed Top direction during the dialog and my character went north from Peter, where the electrodes are. Not really knowing if I should, I fought the pokemons one by one.

So at this point, despite having explored only 20% of the hidout, Peter's script started saying I had completed the quest. He brought me back in the pokemon center and I can now clear the gym.

The problem is that there might be ton of things to do and to get in the hidout, but I can't go back in it. (i.e., I saw James from Rocket, I think there might be tons of things I haven't done in the hidout)

I may have done sth stupid by going through Peter, but I didn't really read the dialogs and I didn't think through by fighting the electrodes.

At this point, I'm clearing the ice gym because there is nothing else I can do, but I lack exp points and stuff...
