The counter is not in real time. If you see only a few free slots, maybe when you try to log in the server is already full.

Usually when you click connect and it fades out, it's trying to connect, it tries periodically to connect until it pops up with "server is full". That's your cue to click "connect" again to try and connect again. Hope this helps!

sometimes for me its just stuck at "fade out" nothing appears after for like an eternity lol

In fairness, sometimes I don't see it (I assume that) but if you click connect, and it says "connecting to server" again, then it means it tried and was full :)

nah even if i click, it doesnt show anything, but that only happens sometimes not always.
