I know staff are tired of breeding post, but I have an idea that might be not bad.

What about every pokemon involved in to the breeding process become untradable and unmarketable ( the parents and the egg ) with this way no one can profit and breeding just will be a way to get better version of the pkmn

By doing that, players could get their desired pokemon for PvP battles and they would not buy from other player who might take several hours to catch that one. So, i think it will indirectly affect the economy.

Wow! That totally doesn't destroy hunting and effort put in the game, let alone economy. /sarcasm

I think that's the point get a better pkmn for pvp but breeding a good pokemon is not short neither, sadly breeding is a direct impact to the economy. I was just throwing ideas already know breeding wont get implemented, just wanted to see how ppl react.

It's been suggested before. The result I foresee is the market essentially being almost non-existent at that point, because this would heavily reduce the amount of trading in the game, except for very rare, non-bred Pokemon. Eventually as people get more of the rare Pokemon (they only need 1 to breed), the market would cease to exist and a core value of the game, trading Pokemon, would be lost.

Electivire doesn't agreed.

You could trade pokes with tms and other items and such but yes. Trading pokemon for pokemon to keep the traded one will not happen. I don't know but in another mmo I could have used a machine to evolve trade only pokemon for a decent price. It may cost more but I don't have to worry about scams or ask the staff.

I still support the devs on that matter, regardless of the possible implementation. Even if they were to be untradeable, that would still render the whole catching aspect of the game pointless. Everyone would breed, as opposed to doing the precise purpose of playing a Pokemon game "Catch 'em all" As part of the slogan would suggest. This is my opinion however.

Have you seen PokeMMO? Look what it did to that game. Before breeding was implemented, the game was all catchmmo, finding wild comps was a challenge and fun, it didn't ruin the economy and have masses of overpowered comp Pokemon with near perfect IVs and natures everywhere, having that happening here would be the last thing the Devs, and I'm sure we as a community would want.

I can't really find an outcome where breeding could possibly become beneficial, besides having egg moves, but I believe it was stated that there would be other ways to obtain them.

Let me just reiterate so people can comprehend this fully.

This is MY opinion.

agreed, imo breeding made every pokemon mmo i played so far worse.

The only way to make breeding work in an MMO environment is to disallow the trading of Pokemoney and items (though item trade may already be disallowed, if not it should be).

Well, what does that do? It essentially makes the game a singleplayer adventure, and removes the economy entirely. It sounds like a depressing result to those who want breeding implemented, and it is. At this point, you have to wonder what the value of an economy in a Pokemon game is. To give it more of an MMO feel? Is the economy necessary? Fair to say that the staff members believe those two things to be true since they constantly bring up how the economy would be negatively impacted if certain suggestions by the players were to be implemented.

I personally would like breeding in this game. If someone makes a good enough suggestion that has the best of both worlds, breeding and allowing the economy to remain unscathed, then I see no reason not to do it. But it's hard to juggle those two things, because one will always impact the other. And because many people when they make suggestions tend not to look at every factor and detail, I have disliked every single breeding suggestion thus far, because they're always leaving something out or not fleshing out their idea well enough.
