What's IV and EV?

Featured Replies

Hi! I'm new at PRO, so be understanding if my doubt is silly.

Looking the stats of one Pidgey (I want that Oddis) I found that next to them there are some numbers in blue and red/orange. It says something about IV and EV. What are these things?

Thanks in advanced, the game looks really cool!

i suggest u to search in google is the best u can do, ivs and evs are basic stuff for all pokemons games (not just this one).also u can find some information in the forum

Orange = iv's and blue = ev's.

When you catch a pokemon he will have random iv's (min 1, max 31 for each stat), so you can catch a poke with all iv's 31 or all iv's 1. If you catch a pidgey with 31iv's in speed, he will have +31speed when he reach level 100.

When you kill pokes you win ev's. If you kill zubat you win 1 ev points. p.e.: If you kill golbat you win 2 iv points. You can double gains if you equip macho brace to your poke. Max ev's per stat are 252, and 510 total. You can place 252 on 2 stats and 6 in another one or you can place them as you want. For each 4ev's in a stat, you win +1 in that stat.
