The fact that the thread is open would suggest that there is no design yet. I think Eaty said that so that he wouldn't have to do exactly what you're asking, which is constantly post and update a thread. When a design is chosen upon, that thread will be locked, and it will either start to be worked on, or it will be worked on in due time.
