hi guys have some questions with regards to this ability i tried searching but nothing about it in forum

 

1. does it work in game? if yes on wild pokemon only?

2. do i need to get hit or do i need to hit the enemy or either to activate since on other sites it only says i need contact?

3. is it by chance or as long as the enemy has a held item i'd get it?

4. should i not be holding anything so that i can steal? or is it okay to hold something and stolen items goes straight to inventory?
