Moethchdn
Hi, I would like to know why I can't fight again the reworked bosses after a crash server (for example : Brock, Raikou guardian, Bruno). The staff said, few months ago, those bosses are reworked in python to avoid this kind of troubles. Finally that changed nothing for me. It's frustrating, particularly when it's a third victory in a row. Moreover, is it normal that the Pokemon's bosses are not locked on the same move when they are using a choice item ? This possibility is misleading us when we're fighting them. It's hard enough to fight them in view of their pokemon's stats, the high critical hit rate and a possible server crash, so it could nice for us to don't be misleading by this. I'm not asking the right to refight them, I just would like some explanations. Also, please don't suggest me avoid to play when the server are not stable, I play when I can. Noxious
. Hey there! First of all, I am really sorry for the inconvenience that might have been caused due to a server disconnect. If the server disconnects, you should still be able to re-fight python-updated Bosses, being the reworked ones. Now, sometimes the server does not disconnect but kicks every player from the server instead. This is the reason why sometimes you are not able to re-fight a reworked Boss, because it technically did not disconnect. Therefore, this disconnect protection might not work every time. I can totally understand your frustration but we are already trying to work on a fix. Regarding your second point, this is indeed an intended feature, to make Hard Bosses even harder and more challenging. The rewards of the reworked bosses on Hard Mode are really good and therefore our Content Scripter tried to balance this out with challenging Boss-Fights. In order to not get misled, feel free to check out PRO's Wiki Page, which has all the information regarding Items, Abilities as well as Movesets for old and reworked Bosses. You can also use PRO's Official Discord, go to #bot-commands and type ^boss <Name> to get more information about them, too. I hope that this reply resolved all of your questions. If you happen to have further questions, I would be pleased to resolve them with you. Otherwise, I will lock this thread as resolved. I hope that you have an awesome day. Moethchdn
Hey ! Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed response. :) Also, thank you for enlightening me on the first point. About the second point, I totally understand that the purpose is to increase the difficulty, but would not it be more relevant to increase the desired satistic rather than not to lock them on an attack while they use a choice item ? This would prevent us from being misled. Best regards Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/122760-reworked-bosses/#findComment-678253 Share on other sites
Noxious
. Hello there! I am glad that you liked my response. Regarding your question, it can be said that this already happens. Choice Items, being Choice Specs, Choice Band or Choice Scarf, essentially give a free +1 in either Special Attack, Attack or Speed, respectively. I can totally understand that this may mislead players because they think that the Pokemon are locked into a move. I will contact our Content Scripter to see if there is a way to increase a stat of a Pokemon without giving them said items. If this does not work, you would have to check on the linked pages above if the Pokemon carries a Choice Item or not. Once again, I hope that my reply resolved all of your questions. If you have further questions, do not hesitate in contacting me. I hope that you have an awesome remaining day.
