Hello there! I apologize for the inconvenience.

I would like to inform you that the repel works in a way that it does not let wild pokemon lower than the level of your first pokemon to get into battle, and hence if the wild pokemon was higher level than your first pokemon, it would still appear in battle regardless of usage of the repel. Let me know if thats the case.
