Someone was selling a Pokemon in trade chat for 2k and when I went to ask them to buy it they just closed the chat and didn't tell me if it was sold or anything. I think they we're trolling but when I read the trade rules once I price is set you can't go back on it.

Probably means they have already sold it. Other possibilities are he posted the wrong poke by mistake or he changed his mind on the price because he had 6 or 7 people pm him with wtb.

 

The point of no return in a sale is when price and place of trade is set and acknowledged by both parties.

 

Because this is the case, just posting a poke in trade chat and you saying wtb is not enough for a deal to have been mode.

 

Also if you want to make a report, things to make sure you include in your pm to seller are

• the poke
  
• the price
  
• the place
  
• and they must acknowledge and accept it.
  

Otherwise your either making a false report or there might not be enough evidence for a report even if they are going back on a deal
