I'm not a coder anymore (been almost 10 years since the last thing I've worked on so I forgot basically everything I knew) so I'm not sure how difficult this would be to code, but my idea for the tabs is like some kind of reminder system for when new messages appear in a tab.

Maybe have little boxes, evenly of course, where one can select it, and when a new message is posted in that channel, we can be aware of it. Would mainly be used for private channels or guild channels, but I could see it definitely being used and very helpful; as most of the time people will post in a guild channel, but never get a response cause people are in all/trade channel.

I understand what you mean. So you'd be notified when a message is posted in that tab. I like the idea, would be useful.
