So I'm playing through the game with 2 of my friends and when I entered Pewter City I got stopped and was met with a mini event whilst my friends just kept walking ahead. Neither of them were stopped and Jessie and James didn't show up for either. It was all of our first times in town so we're all rather confused on why it doesn't show up for them. Thanks for any help in advance and I'll update if we figure out a way to fix it.

 

Update 1: Our working theory is that even though none of us chose Pikachu as a starter I ended up catching one in Viridian Forest on the way up. The Pikachu was in my PC at the time however so the event might just be triggered by you having obtained a Pikachu at some point before and only before entering Pewter for the first time. My friend tested this by catching a Pikachu as well but since they already entered Pewter before the event didn't trigger. Strange glitch all in all.

I believe that it only show up if u chose pika as starter, if not it will skip mini event. Btw, you means in the mt.moon?

Well that makes things even more strange as none of us chose Pikachu but instead the other 3 starters .-.

I don't sure, but i and friends only met it when chosse pika. Maybe I wrong
