How much money do we lose when blacking out? (and other beginner questions)

So in the beginning of the game when I only had about 200 dollars on me I noticed that the amount we lost when we blacked out wasn't half of what we have (like in the original games) but a lot less. I haven't blacked out since, and have been using revives and potions to avoid blacking out, but now I've come to think that maybe I'm losing more money by using the items than if I were to black out.

Does anyone know what the percentage or formula is?

 

Also, is this the right section to post these kind of questions in?

And while I'm at it, do traded pokémon receive boosted experience? And is STAB functional?

<r>For what i experienced, it seems to be more a % of what you have that a flat number <E>:Crazy:</E> <br/>

A friend who blacked out at the beginning of johto with ~150k (it's been a long time, maybe a bit less) lost ~15/20k :x</r>
