Game not responding

Ok i just started my game. i walked around the beginning area, then went to talk to Professor oak under the waterfall. After he asks, "Can you tell me your name" it stops responding. The music is still playing and stuff, but i really dont want to restart my game befause of the long queue timer. I'm less than 3 minutes into the game after waiting for 40 minutes to get in because of my position in the queue and now i probably have to restart my game and wait in queue for another 40 minutes. i really want to play the game. ughhh. i was in the middle of streaming it too.
