No, but with a good reason in my opinion. If there were methodes like in handhelds pretty much everyone would have several very rare shinies by now.

 

If you're interested in hunting shinies you might want to run away from battles instead of battling wild pokemon to save few seconds off each encounter, especially if wild pokemon are low level and not worth the money. Thats about it.
