Hello Guys,

 

is it true that after a few tries of battling spiritomb on route 126 your Pokemon will be corrupted and can't battle the spirit ever again?

Or is it possible again after a couple of hours/ days, because I feel like it would truly be demoralizing to waste an EV trained Swampert like that.

Someone also told me I can just come back with a different Mudkip that doesn't need to be trained and just give my Swampert the Stone after, is that true?

I would be really thankful for consideration and clarification.

Hey there!

 

I am sorry for the inconvenience that was caused. Your Swampert will not be wasted, you just cannot use it for the quest anymore. You are free to use it in other PvE or PvP battles, but just cannot do the quest with it. You can try again with a new starter, however I am not sure about the requirements as the quest just went live and we would like players to find out most of the hints themselves.
