I am currently doing the hoenn story and ended up going to the event area without realizing it was an event. I went back and continued the story but when I logged out and logged back in I was in the pokecenter in Canalave city. Can I be brought back to the hoeen region?

Because I didn't have any pokemon in my party when I spoke to the rival at the bridge it was an automatic loss and I was brought back to lilycove pokecenter
