Ok I just relogged and task master still says that I should relog again for pidgey. Then I asked a currently online staff about this and he said that only pokemon recently caught are counted. Specifically only pokemon caught after he gives the quest is counted. Well I had no idea it's like this and I was even hoarding pokemon with decent IV total in anticipation of task master. Please change his dialogue, it won't be hard I think.

 

BTW, the shiny pidgey OT is not me as I bought it from someone at 60k. I forgot to ask maybe the pokemon OT should be me. I'm submitting this because its IV total is around 150+

Yeah, I made the same mistake too haha. But it is fair this way so that people do not abuse the purpose of doing a daily quest. Just remember you can't use the Pokemon that you have caught before accepting the quest and also cant buy a Pokemon to complete the quest.

Ya, I see what you mean there. It prevents a poke for being a task master poke to be traded
