Ok im new to PRO, but do you have to pay to play? Every time I try to loggin it keeps saying cannot connect to the server.

No, its free but there are problems with server. Too many people trying to login in the same time when server is full.

If it says cannot connect - keep trying till 'Logging in' if after this nothing happened just wait few mins patiently because there is chance You can be placed in 'Ghost Queue'.
