I've been playing for almost a week. I got through 8 badges in Kanto and now I'm slowly training for the Elite 4 in the Red Server.

However, I might just switch into the Blue Server cause there's less people and my Charmander has sweet IVs.

U can play on both though, personally i only go on blue when the red queue is too big 8)
