Not a major unignorable bug, but it still looks silly, so reporting.

Also on the same note, this is not a bug but the valley windworks map has black screen when you walk to the corner, this looks ugly obviously, so it is something that could be fixed I hope.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. It has been known for quite some time and is caused by the boss having the sprite of a Pokémon. Nevertheless, I have mentioned the issue again. As for what you describe in the case of Valley Windworks, it is intended and seems to happen with most relatively small maps.
