Sharel
I used Draining Kiss with my Gardevoir on a Carvana and his rough skin damaged my Gardevoir but it shouldn't have as Draining Kiss is not a physical attack.
Whitt
iirc it doesnt matter if its a special or physical attack, only matters if the move 'makes contact' with the opposing pokemon. Draining kiss does make contact so it should be affected by rough skin
Unowned
Hello @Sharel, Thank you for your report. As @Whitt already said, as long as a Pokémon holding the item Rocky Helmet or possessing the Ability Rough Skin or Iron Barbs is hit by any move that makes contact, the attacking Pokémon takes damage. Some physical moves, like Earthquake and Stone Edge, don't make contact with the target, while some special moves, like Draining Kiss and Grass Knot, do. I hope I was able to clear up any confusion caused by the scenario that you described. Please let me know if you have any further questions. If you wish to report something else, feel free to make a new thread. Thank you and have a good day!
