Waiting through a 1200 person queue right now, so I figured I'd ask a couple questions/make some suggestions!

1. What's up with some simple moves not being animated? The one's I'm mostly thinking of are those such as Dig, where the Pokemon doesn't disappear while underground. Things like that should be pretty easy to program, and I'd love to see it happen, especially in cases where I forget whether the gym leader's Raichu is underground or not :Bored:

2. Can items such as the fishing rod have their cooldown icons enlarged/moved? That thing is pretty hard to even notice, way up there in the corner.

3. This might seem silly, but I actually find it really important: sound effects. Specifically in important moments, and even more specifically in evolution. I understand that you can't do the whole fancy-schmansy evolution animation, but when that suspensful music plays and you go "omg omg omg" and then you click that "evolve" button and... nothing? No DU-DU-DU-DUUUUUU, no epic victory sound byte? It's very unsatisfying. Also another thing that should be ez-pz to program, I think!

4. Naming. I know, I know, the developers have said that naming Pokemon will never be a thing (because of moderation issues); however, as the game grows, I'd just like you to at least consider it again. I know it might be a pain, but so is tracking people's inappropriate username variations - plus, how terrible would it really be for EVERYONE to get to name their Pokemon and then once in a while some random guy gets a stupid "poopydiaper" Pokemon name through. It's not like you guys are battle an ESRB rating. The reason for my pushing for naming is probably obvious: It adds a ton of personality and simulated connection with the game, and I guarantee it will only boost your player base (I'm much more interested in staying awake to play with "Turntsnaco," my lovely and unique friend, than the default Geodude I found under a pile of dirt).

That's all for now. You guys probably won't even look at this, but that's alright, because now I'm... only half way through my queue??? Oh dear.

1- Animation moveset is being added slowly, the team is doing a good job so far. However, their priorities atm is working on Hoenn content. Its easy to program but remember, they MAKE animation from SCRAP, rather than using the NIntendo base animation.

2- Might be useful, but again, low priorities.

3- Same as 1, but with another reason added, it consumes database storage.

4- Quoted from GIo;

"This would be Un-needed database space taken. Let's say for example that a name would be one byte.

There are more than 1 Million pokemon in the database.

if each of those gets a nickname that's 1 Million bytes.

Don't get me wrong, that's a very small footprint or so it seems.

As the game grows there will be increasingly more pokemon.

Even if someone chooses not to name their pokemon the field and the original pokemon name is still there.

It's not worth it."

Quoted from me;

"Not ganna happen, chances of people abusing names will make it worse, also, renaming will require a complex scripting and for now, it will only messed up the system save data."

Fair enough, but I'm referring mainly to just making the Pokemon disappear, in this case. As in Visible = False. No animation required. I totally get why the actual animations come slow.

Yeah, I figured.

This I'm not so sure about. It would be a very, very small sound - a single sound clip referenced to by every single evolution. That's a VERY small portion of the memory. Like really small.

Yeah, I know. I just couldn't force myself to post a suggestion list without mentioning that again :Smile:
