you just have to wait for the queue to load, its very long rn, so just be patient with it. it may take 2-5 mins.

Sometimes it happens to me. I just close and reopen the client to solve it. I think it is a visual bug too.

From 2015: I'm still here

It the queue doesn't pop up and the "logging in" message just fades out I usually restart my client and then it lets me join queue. Just my own personal fix, who knows maybe it'll help you.
