Reds Snorlax (pre victory road)

Featured Replies

Alright so I have something small to add regarding Reds snorlax and its moveset and why it basically made me need to close and re-enter the game to get over this. Reds snorlax has no access to moves that hit ghost types and also has the move rest in its repertoire. What does that mean? Well for someone going to fight red with the intent of just taking the loss and paying it back later on mt silver it creates a situation where a players underleveled ghost type can't feasibly kill off that snorlax (since everything else is getting 1-2 shotted anyway it leaves the ghost type as the last poke). The issue isn't being unable to faint it, the issue is it creates a infinite loop of nothing since the snorlax can't land a hit on the ghost pokemon either and only causes the player to log out and rejoin the queue.

tldr: A possible change to Reds snorlax moveset to include a move that hits ghost type pokemon would be appreciated. Of course this is by no means a thing that needs to be rushed, or of overall grand importance, but it does create pain for anyone caught unaware by the odd happening.

131112 I beat Red's Snorlax with a lvl 90 gastly with ease. It's all about the movesets you have.

Muffin, my dude, I'm not saying beating it is impossible or anything the like but as a person running a sub optimal pokemon, underleveled, and with a not so great moveset I never had the plan to win that fight. What I'm suggesting is that for anyone who just goes into the fight and doesn't particularly care about winning and get caught in that situation they can just take the loss. You saying that is missing the entire point of why I made this suggestion, to avoid being caught in a never ending loop with ones ghost pokemon versus that snorlax if they're not at a level that they can beat it just yet.

Hopefully I didn't come off as rude, congrats on wrecking his snorlax with that gastly though~
