Yes, and just some of those have less than 600 stats will be catchable eventually. Not the others.

Alright, that sucks, but it's still in Beta and I'm looking forward to what's to come! Final question, and I know this is off-topic which I do apologize for; is there a list of all of the available Pokemon?

 

The legendary-thing is not related at all with the beta status. Legendaries will never be implemented in game, a part from some exception, because of 2 reasons: 1. too high stats for competitive 2. If everyone has legendary pokemon they would not be "legendary" anymore (I honestly love this way of thinking.

And for those are/will be available, you have to consider two things: 1. No legendary pokemon with >600 stats will ever be catchable 2. For those which are/will be catchable, there will be an high amount of in game hours requirement in order to consider those pokemon as "legendaries" and not pokemon for every single player in game (e.g. you need at least 351hours in game to catch Mew).
