i tried everything, im at max happiness with it , i tried reducing it by fainting it and increasing it again, i asked for help in discord and they recommended f2 and clean reg , still did not work. I shouldn't have to go via the mysterious candy route and do this. Is this a glitch? help would be appreciated

I am really sorry for the inconvenience. Happiness evos can be bugged at times but I never seen it this bad 😕

 

There is one more thing u could try:

Let it faint to lower its happiness

Press F2 and clean reg

Restart your client and log in

Heal up at any Pokecenter

Raise happiness back to max

I am currently checking if we have any other possibilities to help you out here. Please make sure you followed my steps exactly. Could you maybe try one more time and screenshot  the process? Or if possible a Video would be even better.
