Help, I saw several guides and growlithe should appear here, but it does not. It's James' mission

Same issue,was trying to find Growlie for 30 minutes,there must be a glitch,bug,whatever

It is confirmed that there is no bug in this quest. Growlith's location is random for every player and it gets changed every time you fail to find the Growlith in the given time. Growlith may be hidden well behind bushes, trees, etc. but take a closer look, you will able to see it.

 

Please Note that when this quest first came out, there was a bug that caused Growlith to spawn in the same place for all players. 

It was quickly fixed but the video guides created during that time may lead one to believe that Growlith should only spawn at that particular area, but this is not the case now.
