If I understand correctly, account resets are on their way?

Okay so I really want to start over. Unfortunately you are only allowed four accounts. Which is fair, and it should be more than enough because it has eight saves in total. 
However, I would really, really love to delete saves and start over, as I very often take very long breaks from Pokémon and then come back as my interests keep shifting between different stuff. 
I have read a few things here on the forums, and a few have already asked about save deleting, but the response was always that this is not possible and that they may either go to a different server or make a new account. Fair enough. So I came to suggest it (after checking if it already was) and I saw that the devs were planning on account resets for qualified players. 

I do have a three questions about this, and I truly hope I am not bothersome I just didn't know where else to go. If I have to go somewhere else or the answers are already there and I didn't find them, please redirect me! 

 

1. Does this mean only your account or also your saves? Does this mean only your account, username, etc shall be reset OR does this mean you can reset your save? 

2. Is this an old idea, or is it still being worked on? 

3. I have read that this is for qualified players, and I'm wondering, IF people/devs know this already how you'd be able to qualify?

Regarding the thread you are referring to, I must acknowledge that it is relatively old and not entirely relevant to the current situation. It is worth noting that some of the features mentioned in the thread have already been implemented, in more or less different ways. However, I would like to inform you that the feature that allows or contains the account reset is already planned.

 

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide you with an estimated timeline for the commencement of this project. There are several factors that may impact the prioritization and scheduling of this and other planned features. 

 

Most of the already planned features/elements are mentioned in the DEV to-do list. Please give it a read if you haven't already. And let me know if you have any other questions regarding this.
