is there a badge rquirement for me to trade cash shop items?

 

i am planning to buy pokemons from other people, atm im still on brock so no badges yet. can i buy pokemons from other people?

 

lastly, i notice people in chat saying their pokemoms are kanto or johto, are there any difference? can i us both kanto and johto pokemons even as a newbie?

You cannot trade Jhoto Pokemon if you only have 8 Kanto badges, but once you enter Jhoto (when you are finished with Kanto E4) then you can trade Jhoto Pokemon in Jhoto but cannot trade Kanto Pokemon till you have 8 badges of Jhoto. Once you have all the 16 badges, you can trade any Pokemon from any region any time.
